The cores of dead branches are often bone dry. You just need a proper knife to do some batoning and shaving.

At least environmentalists will have a hard time gluing themselves anywhere along the way.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

I suppose you don't. Using a mouse and keyboard and getting better FPS does sound good though. Edit: oh, wait. It does build a ROM. Is there something like Everdrive for the N64? Sounds like it would work on the console and not just using an emulator.

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Finished Metro Last Light a 2nd time, this time in Ranger mode. Next another run of Exodus. Edit: Played the FF XV demo... looks like an S rank time waster, but it has something magical. Guess I'm gonna buy it.

That aside, I've been thinking about curved monitors quite a lot recently. I feel like I'm not looking properly at my regular 27" monitor unless it's the center area. Also OLED. I love my old Note 3's OLED screen. But kinda afraid e.g. the task bar would burn in.

Have you tried fire drilling? I tried once for an hour and failed miserably. I think I had the wrong wood. The bottom board has to be soft, and the drill hard I think?

BTW firesteel is an invention by Austrian smart guy Carl Auer von Welsbach, hence also called "Auermetall". This guy also came up with the gas mantle for lighting and the metal filament in light bulbs. And amongst other things he discovered neodymium...

Some people in Germany plan to do away with grades for spelling. Their reasoning is that software/AI will take care of that. Madness.

    What have you bought recently?

Coco soil. I did think about hydro, but it's not recommended as an absolute beginner. Apparently you can easily mess up feeding. Soil is more forgiving since it acts as nutrient buffer.

    What have you bought recently?

A grow tent and a 300 Watts horticulture LED fixture. Also a bunch of seeds. Still have to get a fan, and a zigbee sensor for temperature and humidity. Might choose a fan with 0-10V dimming and try to control it via ESP-Home and DIY level switcher (is that the right term?) circuitry. But just...

Surely they paid for the likeness, didn't they? BTW PETA want to do away with animals on this kind of ride, because- I'll stop here just in case I spread this madness. Oh. Go watch the movie Pontypool if you don't have anything better to do. A low key, slow boil "horror" flick.
