F-100, Firmware 4, Unable To Change Startup Sound

Hi all, Recently updated my F-100 to firmware v4 and I'm very happy with it. SDHC support has been long awaited and works fine, surprisingly my GP2X is now way more overclockable as with previous firmwares it'd lockup on 240Mhz and over, now 266 MHz is achievable. But I now have a nagging...

    Throw In The Towel

Yes aaronson, you're using crappy batteries. Buy some new, more powerful batteries. Get the highest capacity batteries you can get for maximum battery life (they also take longer to charge though). I use 3200mAh ni-mh batteries and I get plenty of battery life. My GP2X is mostly used for...

    Firmware (version 4)

QUOTE So we can't confirm about the SDHC then? Well gp2x.co.uk seems to confirm it. -> www.gp2x.co.uk

    Very Disapointing Linux Support

The GP2X in USB mode is just a standard USB disk and is detected no problem under any Linux distro. The USB cable that I got with my GP2X was crap and didn't work so I used a different one that I got with my camera. I suspect you are having the same problem.

    Built-in Wifi?

Personally I'd think it'd be a better idea to find an SDIO Wi-Fi card that has an available open source driver which you can compile for the GP2X's ARM architecture. For example... http://www.linuxdevices.com/news/NS5637388534.html

    Firmware (version 4)

QUOTE There would be no need to buy an F200, you could just flash the F200 firmware onto your F100. True. Which brings us back to the point of firmware 4's availability.

    Firmware (version 4)

Well maybe someone can tell me what the score is with getting proper SDHC support on my f100?, and I don't mean that dodgy fw2.1.2 patch either, that only served to make my GP2X lock up regularly when playing tunes (particularly when re-enabling the screen & buttons by pressing Select) whilst...

    Firmware (version 4)

It also states on gp2x.co.uk that SDHC cards upto 32GB are supported on the f200. I'm thinking that this is due to firmware v4.

    Experimental Sdhc Support For Gp2x

I've just taken delivery of an Integral 8GB Class 4 SDHC card and I get the same 'divide by zero' problem when my patched GP2X tried to mount it. CODE MMC/SD Card Detected ###[mmcsd_bus.c:447]->check_sd_ocr: ACMD41 fail!!! Division by zero in kernel. Function entered at [<c00559c8>] from...

My Gp2x Can No Longer Mount Nand Or Sd Cards

Your comment reminded me about the USB networking issue when connected to Linux PCs. Will have to patch the GP2X to sort that out as described HERE. I've come into work this morning and have successfully got it working on a Windows PC. My guess was correct, and I was able to telnet onto the...

My Gp2x Can No Longer Mount Nand Or Sd Cards

I was playing Wipeout2097 at 266Mhz when my GP2X locked up. No biggy as I've had plenty of lockups when overclocking past 250Mhz in PSX4GP2X, this time I just wanted to see if there was much difference as the latest version of PSX4GP2X is so much faster than it used to be... Anyway I power...
