As stated the background color is set as black and the text color is also black. I don't know where it's getting it from but it looks very very off and is something new. The last time I replied back before the pandora's heatsink was improved this was not an issue. I have not changed my browser nor theme nor theming engine since then.

Hmm... where?
Can you provide a screenshot? I don't have an issue here (and nothing has been changed in the forum for months).

I have no idea what this is about. As far as I can find, this site has styles, not themes, and none of them are 'high contrast'. My browser has 'themes' but as far as I've seen those only affect the window furniture, not the rendered site itself.

Ah, okay. It does seem to be doing dynamic stylesheets judging by the nonsense names of the stylesheets loaded. It's probably a xenforo thing and not anything done especially for this site, but obviously I can't see the php from here.

I've tried looking for a xenforo board out there that permits guest posting, but can't find any, so can't suggest where else you could at least see a text area.

FWIW I've generally found full-dark themes to be a pain in the arse a lot of the time. I'm using a dark theme at the moment but not fully dark.

I can't find where to change the style or whatever.

Maybe I should have ignored this thread.

I am talking about the browser's theming from the OS. I use a high-contrast them(aka a dark theme) and for some reason CSS.PHP makes the background black and the text black thus it shows up as black.

Ahh... okay, so your browser is modifying parts of the theme, but not all of them.
It probably changes the default colors but not the ones set in CSS, which is why that happens.

I can edit the styles and themes here, but I need to find out what I have to set where.

it's CSS.PHP:1 is where the color's set as black and when you set your browsers colors in a similar fashion it _doesn't_ change the color of it. So by changing the css.php for the HTML colors to color:black, background-color:white it'd fix all of the issues. Also part of it is how the thing is being done. It's showing up as an about:blank page due to the way the iframe setting is shown.

So somehow the background-color isn't being set for the iframe itself just the root. I don't know why the forums software would use an iframe that goes no where but it's doing this on both the reactive and non-reactive versions. Also if you put it an !important at the end of it then it'll override whatever the browser tries to do thus making the colors used. It's something with the forum software not just using a div but making a whole iframe out of whole cloth for no reason.
