Because most people don't have desks in their play areas?
Nah, not a good reason. They'd only need to add a mouse driver to the firmware. At least the Switch can handle a keyboard. They just only let you use it for text input. And games that do exist on PC, too, could leave the K+M-related settings UI in - optionally, if you will.

Even on PC I suspect M+KB games are in the minority these days. Apparently a surprising number of games launch only supporting gamepads, according to people who have accessibility setups configured using the flexibility of M+KB setups.

I still remember my incredulity when I have seen Dune 2 on MegaDrive O_O

@levi It's just, that I have too hard a time aiming. In Skyrim for instance playing an archer it's fine enough, since I can have slow motion while aiming, but playing a caster trying to hit other casters, which are constantly moving, I'm royally fucked. Tried out Warframe, I can use a ranged weapon effectively only when sneaking around - as soon as I'm spotted, melee it is.
Maybe my thumbs ain't, what they used to be, but it annoys me in console gaming like nothing else. :/

Yeah, mice have an advantage even over thumbsticks for fast and accurate aiming. Theoretically using the touchscreen could be even better; I recall playing a port of Missile Command on my Psion 5 which used the touchscreen, which made the game slightly too easy, and I've played lemmings on my DS, but those were basically 2d games. Mice also let you wheel round and aim at things that aren't in your current frame of view. Maybe combining a thumbstick and a touchscreen could be also as good, but a touchscreen on a big monitor is quite tiring to use as well, which is a strike against that plan.

So, about that Pokemon Direct... I can't wait to Dynamax my Wooloo. >_>

November 15th is when we're gonna get our Pokemon, y'all.

People seem more disappointed with the new features revealed in Animal Crossing: New Horizons than the delay to 2020. Or maybe it seems that way because I'm the exact opposite. I love the expanded crafting features they revealed, but that delay might drive me nuts.

Fear not, everyone! IGN confirmed in an interview that Isabelle will be in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

That sigh of relief you just heard was from half the internet.

There was a lot to love about ninty's showing at E3 this year - games, games, games and no fluff. Several that will be day-one purchases for me, but the highlights will be Link's Awakening and Animal Crossing.

<tiny squuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeee>

I just bought FFVII for my Switch. In other news, Disgaea 4 Complete+ is coming to Switch.

Wooooo, hype for games I've already owned before. Nintendo Switch: The PlayStation Vita you didn't know you had.
