We need more drama. So here's another video.

Ah, but is it any good as a nub-pad. Where we're going, we don't need mechanical rodents!

    Google Stadia

I guess that's one of the reason studios have limited their development of those genres since the rise of online play. But I guess it only really matters the most when the action PvP, and I'm not aware of any PvP shooters. I think the last time I noticed any of this going on was then I tested...

    GPD WIN MAX ANNOUNCED

I quite liked the noises AMD was making with their APU processors, namely the HSA (hererogeneous system architecure) features they've introduced. But if they've scuppered that with inadequate customer support (apart presumably from Microsoft and Sony, who use their chips in their consoles) then...

I configured deadbeef on my Pandora to use the shoulders to skip through whatever I was playing, but only chorded with a keyboard key; I used left bumper and right d-pad to skip 10% forward through a song/programme and right bumper and left d-pad to skip 3% back. I found if I just used the...

    Welcome to the updated site!

Old forums were old and unpatched. Anything unpatched on the internet these days gets hacked sooner or later, so yes you will have to get used to this version.

    Welcome to the updated site!

Hmm, that's seems to be the case. I found a setting that I thought changed the limit at which they turn into a click through, but I changed mine to 10 and my recently favourited thread post just shows 'EdenR, modport, Phlyra and 3 others'

You can mouseover the icon to revel what the emoji actually stands for, which is useful for old fogies like myself.

Without CSS additionally, it still all looks navigable to me. Lots more scrolling of course, although now I come to reply I've got two reply boxes containing your quoted message. I'm typing this in the right hand of the two boxes (may come below on lower resolution screens, I guess), so I'll...

    Welcome to the updated site!

Not without javascript I can't, But to be honest, I'm fine with just likes. In general, without javascript, the layout it much cleaner now, so that's an improvement. I can now see how many likes I've been alerted to as it no longer gets covered up by the menu bar, which is nice.

The What Music Are You Listening To Thread

The radio edit of the song (above) uses what I think is a sample of the noise you get out of defender when a bezerker forms.

    Welcome to the updated site!

All working for me so far. I'll have to see what I can find to complain about now, of course ;) Edit: Ah, circular avatars. I remember we complained about that last time, and it got patched. (see below) Edit2: Also, this edit box is *tiny*. Not sure that's much of an improvement, but I can...

    Google Stadia

I couldn't read the article fully because as soon as it loaded it redirected me to the main page, but from what I read it sounds like the kind of thing online games makers have had to do for years. Basically project back in time to the point where the computer registered the button click...

Videos will appear I'm pretty sure demonstrating the power of the unit pretty exhaustively. This far the best video so far demonstrating the speed of the unit and keyboarding on it I think. Additionally the majority of the initial boot process are shown, although I expect myself to use my unit...

Stackoverflow got a new Code of Conduct, most downvoted post ever

You referred to people as SJWs. I'm suspicious of anyone who uses such language myself, as I became aware of that particular TLA during that whole gamergate debacle, where it tended to be used against anyone who wasn't being a dick about someone or something else. It makes me wonder how you...

    Vegetarian Awareness Month (October)

I know that's the common understanding, but I'm not convinced it's true if uphill travel is considered. On the flat I can cover many more miles much more quickly with less effort on my bike than on foot, but on anything more than a moderate incline that's more than about half a mile long (which...

Stackoverflow got a new Code of Conduct, most downvoted post ever

There's no such person as an SJW. That's a somewhat perogitive term that I believe doesn't help explain what's happening here in my opinion. I see two apparently reasonable belief systems that have come into conflict. One position says that people should have the opportunity to state what...

Stackoverflow got a new Code of Conduct, most downvoted post ever

It still baffles me what anyone needs to log into stack overflow anyway. All possible questions have pretty much been asked already, so just do a search for your problem which inevitably ends up on stack overflow and read the solution there.

    What have you bought recently?

Are you on SSDs already? I quietened down my CPU fan by upgrading it, but now I can mostly hear the HDD spinning. The old case fan does take over noise duty when the system needs more airflow to keep cool, but that doesn't wake me so that's fine.
