    WTB - 1GHz Pandora

I have a spare case here. It has never been used and spent the last few years in a box. It's missing the screws and the stylus, though. And i think you'll also need to re-use the hinge mechanism from our old pandora. It was bought to replace the case of my old silver Pandora, However I managed to...

    War in Ukraine

America is safe for now, that’s right, but here in Europe I fear Russia could potentially do a lot of damage using thermobaric devices.

    War in Ukraine

Tbh I’m not afraid of Russia nuking anyone. The thermobaric weapons they have are devastating enough without the radioactive side effect of nukes. If push comes to shove I guess it’s more likely those would be used.

What have you bought recently? The second kit by bluebrixx I have bought so far. Quality wise it’s really good. Haven’t finished building it, though.

Minimum Viable Computer - 15$ pocket Linux device

The look reminds me a lot of the old Nokia 5510

It's pretty impressive what they pack into this small form factor. However for me there's still the issue with the price, as well as the availability of replacement parts and batteries.Imho they'd be better off decreasing the speed in which they throw new devices into the market and improve on...

I enjoyed my GPD Win 1 for quite some time, until I sold it and bought a used Asus Zenbook. When I got it I played some games like Rayman Origins, Olli Olli 2 or Steamworld. those worked quite well. What bummed me was that more demanding titles would make the unit go so hot it got really...

What are you playing this weekend/these days?

Turrican 2 on winuae. A few days ago I got a nice competition pro usb joystick, so I can now 'properly' play Amiga games. It's still a great game, but ~20 years of not playing the game do show. Or short: I suck at it! :D Also I'm occasionally playing Bridge Builder Poly Bridge, which is really...

Anyone willing to sell their Open Pandora?

Just to clear things up a bit, my Pandora isn't going anywhere since I managed to break the lcd-cable. Afaik not even ED has replacements anymore. So it's basically dead.

Anyone willing to sell their Open Pandora?

There's an OpenPandora sitting in my desktop drawer that I don't use anymore. It's a silver GHZ model, no screen cable issues so far. But there's wear on the case, also I wanted to mod two additional shoulder buttons to the unit, so there are small slots at the place where I wanted to add them...

    AMD B450 Motherboard for Linux

ATM I'm running linux on a Ryzen 1600 system with a B350 based mainboard. So far things work very well, but I haven't used used stuff like sleep-mode. I'm a bit old fashioned, so my desktop pc is either on or off. ;-) The only thing that upset me a bit regards internal sound cards. A year ago I...

    Gamescom 2019

To me it looks more like a facehugger that didn't get off the road quickly enough. :D

Let's hope they are aware that they need to place the order for the phone's case at least 5 years upfront... :D because I don't think even the hardcore-linux-fans will buy a smartphone that is so open that it comes without a case. xD

    Gamescom 2018

Imho the Vita was so unsuccessful because of the weird combination of a focus on download-games and heavily overpriced memory cards.

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

So far I´m happy with my Win... the build quality of my unit seems to be good. D-pad feels a bit soft, quite similar to my DS-Lite´s D-Pad. Also I had no crashing drivers so far. But I also didn´t put it under heavy stress... a bit of web-browsing, and a few Indie games (Axiom Verge, Kelvin and...

Looks like VGA Planets to me. We had a pretty cool VPL game running with some guys from school back in the 90's. Since none of us had internet access we exchanged the turns on floppy disks. Fond memories. :)

GPD Win (x86 Computer / Palmtop)

Afaik Windows can do the rotation, the question is if it is going to have an impact on the performance.
