I just tried soda-blasting with great success on a sticky hard disk case. It leaves the underlying metal undamaged and removes the coating with ease. Its a great mess though.
I already got good results with ethanol 96%. The caveat is that the coating needs to be totally degraded for it in order to work. I let it soak over night. That way I get the best results. Ultrasonic cleaner is also an option if possible. Last weekend I cleaned Rubber using a steam cleaner and a...
Not quite, thats the date of my "Thanks" Email, so it's the date the Payment arrived. As wiretransfer takes one business day usually here in Germany it may as well have been the 2nd of May.
As it's almost 8 Years ago, I don't really have any documents besides my voucher code and Payment...
My Two Months™️ are obviously also over (acutally almost 8 years \o/ --- so glad to order the 4GB version back then, I still wonder how many LTE Bands the old modem is not capable of ... My Smartphone got kinda useless that way) , just received my "Pyra is ready" mail.
I ordered the Copper one...
I think, if that problem ever occurs, it will be pretty easy to solve, I expect the Pyra to have a rather high demand when it will be publicly available, as it's still a very unique design.
My bad
I meant Workchamp of course.
It's indeed true, that the Scissors on that Model are a bit hard to reach, but if you don't cut your nails all the way back, it's not a real problem. I bought it mainly for the larger tools and the lockable blade, which is safer to handle in outdoor...
For me, its the Swisschamp Work. Thats the one I usually take with me on longer hikes, as it has larger tools, especially the saw takes great advantage from this. I use that saw to trim some broken branches on rolled lumber after storms. In the Alps its quite often that you have to climb over a...
Very cool video wall! I think the dog does not like the fact that Evil Dragon talks more to his electronics than to him ;).
I've been waiting so long for my Pyra already, never the less I can't wait to hold it in my hands the closer the delivery comes.
Might me a bit offtopic, but my guess would be that those LCD Cables could be replaced by a flexpcb if EvilDragon does not have spares anymore. A shop here in Germany called Fischer PCB has an online calculator and according to them a flex the size 100x80mm and a quantity of 30pc would be 25€...
My guess would be that you'll be getting your Astro Slide first. I backed a Gemini back then thinking it would be a close race between the release dates, which turned out it wasn't \o/. Never the less I sold my Gemini due to several Issues (Bad Keyboard, no PD charging, no proper Linux drivers...
As far as I remember, Ed had some 500 cases ordered initially of which 300 something remained usable after coating due to problems with the thickness of the coating. As there are more than 1000 preorders already, it is unlikely that you will still get an old case if you preorder now. But that's...
The new battery cover looks like an improvement indeed. I was rather sceptic at first, but it looks like a rigid solution to me. I know a lot of covers that loose friction over time, but this one seems to have a proper latch that does not come loose easily.
I really hope to get my Pyra soon...
Well, well, this almost seems like my prediction to get it this year around Christmas could be correct. Nice to see some progress! Probably my GB cartridge reader will be ready by the time I have my Pyra so I can enjoy my Games in beautiful color :).
