I just tried soda-blasting with great success on a sticky hard disk case. It leaves the underlying metal undamaged and removes the coating with ease. Its a great mess though.

Me too, but I ordered one of the lovely clear cases recently before they are sold out. That way I can already check out the formfactor :cool:.

I think, if that problem ever occurs, it will be pretty easy to solve, I expect the Pyra to have a rather high demand when it will be publicly available, as it's still a very unique design.

Might me a bit offtopic, but my guess would be that those LCD Cables could be replaced by a flexpcb if EvilDragon does not have spares anymore. A shop here in Germany called Fischer PCB has an online calculator and according to them a flex the size 100x80mm and a quantity of 30pc would be 25€...

The new battery cover looks like an improvement indeed. I was rather sceptic at first, but it looks like a rigid solution to me. I know a lot of covers that loose friction over time, but this one seems to have a proper latch that does not come loose easily. I really hope to get my Pyra soon...

Well, well, this almost seems like my prediction to get it this year around Christmas could be correct. Nice to see some progress! Probably my GB cartridge reader will be ready by the time I have my Pyra so I can enjoy my Games in beautiful color :).
