Great to see these ported to the Pandora. Proper out of the box controller configuration and a bit of optimization and the Pandora will have the best suite of emulators in the biz.
One thing I've noticed (am I alone in this?) the Gamma in the emulators seems a bit low.
The sequence of events goes like this. Switch from minimalist UI to desktop UI via menu. Attempt to switch back to minimalist via menu and nothing happens. After this any attempt to select the "log out" option in the menu yields the above error message. Reflashing Super Zaxxon...
Hmm I hope someone steps up and accepts the mantle.
By the way, with all the teething trouble I've been having I hope I haven't given the wrong impression. Despite its flaws I do actually quite like my Pandora!
I'm having a new problem now. If I switch to the desktop UI and try switch back to minimalist nothing happens. Then if I try to log out I get the message "failed to receive a replay from the session manager Session manager must be in idle state when requesting shutdown"
Striders sword and Zelda's rain are just as bad with headphones as they are via the pandora's speakers. Playing Strider with headphones frankly sounds really weird, its like everything is there but the emphasis is all messed up. I honestly don't know if this is a problem with the Pandora itself...
This has been one of the bigger disappointments since I got the Pandora (the biggest one being the shockingly poor wifi). Snes9x4P is so nearly very very good it just needs a bit more work. As it stands now even on my 1ghz some of the more demanding games suffer from occasional slowdown and...
While I'm not going the question the quality of the Pandora's audio hardware there does seem to be something going on in software. The audio sounds "processed", like there is a rather aggressive V EQ setting in effect.
In games certain sound effects are being pushed forward in the soundstage...
I have indeed tried both. Frankly I'm mystified.
Another question. The Pandora seems to use some kind of audio processing to enhance audio coming from its speakers. Works well for the most part but can be quite ugly in some games (like Link to the Past). Is there anyway of turning it off?
There is a new wrinkle now, Dosbox with DboxFE won't start at all. I'm getting "Mounting or PND failed. The application won't start. Please have a look at /tmp/pndrun_dosbox.out".
Any idea what's gone wrong?
I received my OpenPandora this morning, I have pretty much everything setup and working correctly but I need a bit of help.
How in the heck do I setup UAE4ALL? I have my kickstarts I have my .adf's but I have no idea where to put them?
Similar issues with Dosbox with DboxFE. I'm using...
