GStreamer can't decode Vorbis when CodeBlocks command line running - seems easy to fix

I noticed that my GStreamer app and gst-launch do not work if the CodeBlock dev tools command line is open. Specifically, it is unable to decode Vorbis files. Even if there is one terminal open, where gst-launch playbin2 can play a Vorbis file, if I then open the dev. command line separately...

    Pandora 0.5

What if OPT used this older processor that I heard about on Slashdot a few years back, and made a shittier Pandora, with less RAM (I think 64MB should be enough for most GUI tasks) and less CPU power? They could also take out some features, like the Bluetooth and touchscreen. What do you think?

    "Pandora consoles banned from ebay"

This just in.... Pandora consoles banned from Ebay for being a 'piracy device'. — Craig J V Rothwell (@Craigix) January 10, 2011 lolololololololol So are they going to ban x86 desktops and laptops as well?

Trying to get help with libraries that are supposed to be popular

Bullet has really pathetic documentation for what seems to be the most active and powerful open-source physics engine. And the forums are nearly dead, I asked for help this morning and I think there's been 2 more posts all day, one was from me saying "I fixed my problem but ran into a...

    Amazon Kindle

It has a few more features than a paper book, but not nearly enough to make it worth the cost. Like, there's a relatively full-featured web browser, but no text editor. Here I am, editing text in the browser... why can't I also do this offline? And there does not appear to be a way to...

I Need Headphones / Headset Recommendations, It Seems

I'm trying to keep this short. My headset has broken. I don't think it was my fault, but I might have crushed it under my laptop while they were in my backpack. It won't happen again. I want someone to recommend a headset that won't break during normal use, maybe something with an all-metal...

    Acronym Pronunciation

Fork from http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/52031-anticipate-the-new-video-here/page__st__105 Does anybody read "VGA" (Video Graphics Array) as "vagina"? I think it could work in the right circumstances. I always say "GUI" as "gooey", it's shorter and I'm bad at mentally writing out...

    Correlation Of Color With Openness?

Sitwon mentioned this in another thread: And it was way off-topic, so I thought I might fork it here. My original DS is actually silver, and my laptop is silver with white trim and black metal on the bottom. And my badass laser printer is black, but I can't really program it. My Palm is closed...

    Forum Glitch, Showing Wrong Timezone

It's 9:42 am where I live, and the board is reporting that the last post in the Pandora forum is "Today, 7:05 pm". I checked my timezone and I'm still getting times that are 11 or 12 hours ahead. This is in both Firefox and Google Chrome for Linux, so I suspect it's a board issue. Edit: I'm...

Some Way To Block Threads You Don't Care About?

Is there some way to mark a thread so that it doesn't trigger my "unread posts" icons? Whenever I come to the forums, I usually just trawl through any unread forums, and occasionally I just don't care about an entire thread, it would be great if I could block it somehow. I doubt this is...

"Mifi" portable wireless router / cellular modem

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/07/techn ... .html?_r=1 It's $270 for the device and $40 a month for the 250MB data plan. [dunno how much upload you get] So, it's pretty expensive for now, but you get a portable wireless network that works with anything like an iPod Touch, a Pandora, a laptop, a...

Alternate X keymapping ideas for programmers

The default keymap looks decent for regular use, but I think people who intend to use bash or c++ on the Pandora will want things arranged differently. For example: I might move Tab to the leftmost Fn key on the bottom row, then shift everything else over. edit: God Ginrai said that Tab looks...

    Where's Adobe Flash going?

I'm hoping it will die alone, and slowly, but I don't really know if that's possible. What do you guys think about Flash and the SVG / SMIL / <canvas> / <video> standards that are supposed to be replacing it eventually? edit: I got Gnash working! It's still slow and horrible, but it...

Page numbers are tiny, easy to mis-click

I'm not sure how to explain this, but basically: The page numbers for threads are way too small, and worse, Clicking outside of the page numbers takes me to the first page of a thread, which I almost certainly have already seen. It's way too easy to miss the page link and go to the first...

    3D model format / C++ loader?

I'm trying to figure out a good way to connect Blender with my OpenGL programs. The Wavefront .obj format looks pretty good, and Blender imports and exports it well, but I don't have a loader for it yet. Does anybody know of a good C++ loader for this format, or of a reason why I should look...

Any plans for texture compression, or not?

I see PowerVR has provided some tools as part of their SDK for compressing textures to a native SGX format. Are people planning to use this, or will there be any attempt to use GLSL or something to implement a different algorithm, or are most people planning to ignore it, since the Pandora has...
