Congratulations ED! It looks like the Pyra will finally hatch in 2018!!

FNA Games on ARM board (i.e. play FEZ, Stardew Valley, Bastion... on Odroid/OrangePI/RPi)

H*ly shit, awesome work man. You are really pushing the limits of our beloved Linux minicomputers, and this will be even more awesome when the Pyra is finally out. Thank you very much! BTW, I had a nerdgasm when I saw that Bastion welcome screen on the Pandora, it's one of my favourite games.

    GPD WIN 2

Same here, but these kind of thermal differences between Linux and Windows have been common for the last few years/decade in my experience (with Linux producing less heat and, by extension, noise). General power consumption of the system may not be as good in some cases because of some new/weird...

Just did this today to get linux-git (touchscreen and xpad are both fixed upstream now): took about an hour, IIRC.

And basically 99% of all PC games, missing some heavy and/or unoptimized ones from the last few years. I'm too lazy to select a video, just go on youtube.

    How so?

    GPD WIN 2

Yeah, the 7y30 is proving to be an amazing SOC

    GPD WIN 2

I doubt this will be the case on the Win 2, but as an example with computers, on Thinkpads you even have the readout of the individual batteries available.

On the Steam Controller they are on the inside too. Opinions may vary, but the Steam Controller is one of the best if not the best controller I have ever had (and still have, of course).

I think this is supposed to be a mostly thumb driven keyboard, so if typing is a priority for you maybe the choice of the Pocket was still right :)

    GPD WIN 2

True, and that is one of the awesome aspects of the Pyra, it's modularity and openness. I know why you are siding with the Pyra, being involved how you are, and I am also hoping for the best and having one soon, but I could follow the same strategy that you have followed for capacity focusing...

    GPD WIN 2

Yeah. For example, AFAIK, the 7y30 used in the Win 2 doesn't support MIPI displays.

    GPD WIN 2

I want to start off by saying that I'm a pre-preorderer for the Pyra, following the development since the beginning, and again definitely want to get it ASAP, since it represents something no GPD can deliver: freedom (as you already said). Still, I have to object to 2 out of your 3 points: 1...

    GPD WIN 2

Don't know if it's bad, but I completely understand you... I'll still get a Pyra because of what it represents, but for actual use, don't know....

Only thing I'm missing is NVMe drive, everything else sounds really, really nice.

    GPD WIN 2

Yeah, I think someone from GPD themselves mentioned that Linux support should be better. This seems to be true, as the m3 is used in much more common devices (Surface Pro, Teclast X5 Pro, ...) of which some already have much better support than the Win did at launch or even today. See here, for...

They are probably just using the same LiHV compound as before, maybe even from Sunda again, which is rated at 3.8V instead of 3.7V.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

I feel this statement is more than relevant here... Thank you for this quote. If you want humanity to live by some principles, stop looking around you and start living by those principles: humans mimic other humans more than we would dare to accept, so maybe (and, also, maybe not) some people...

    Finalizing the PCBs

I thought the idea was to have most of the stuff mainline. Has this changed?
