GP2X 1gb Sd Card For Only $40 From Circuit City

This will definately serve me well, thanks. I've seen them for about $55 without rebates, but considering that these rebates work, it's a much better deal.

Well the only problem with MIRs is that you have to wait like 4 months for them to come back to you but they do always result in money.

EDITED FOR: formating, Twice, and once more for spelling

And will the 66x Vs. the 150X make a large difference when transferring files?
What is 1x read/wright speed for SD cards?
Lastly, shouldest this thread be in GP2X / XGP General?

And BTY I love this message board and all of you in it (Xzender may or may not have slept in 24 hours and is most truly messed up of a combo of jolt redbull and balws )

EDITED FOR: just to put this "EDITED FOR" tag here

From my understanding, you can't have "faster" SD cards. Sure the NAND memory may be able to be clocked at a higher rate but the SD standard only defines a few fixed speeds (1 MB/sec and 12 MB/sec I think). So getting 150x SD cards most likely won't result in faster access.

If you're thinking of making a game that has much more data than you can fit into memory you've got to think of a way to handle loading and unloading data dynamically (to/from RAM) based on what your game currently needs in memory. Even at 12MB/sec, SD memory is slow enough to cause a slight hitch in your frame-rate if you have to wait for a data read from an SD card during gameplay.

yeah, MIR blow hard.
i'd rather pay $50 from an online store than $80 w/ MIR.

Price is back up to $69.99 ($20 instant rebate, $20 mail-in).

Newegg will be seeing some of my business very shortly.
