Hi,

I used to browse The Linux Game Tome on a daily basis, but it seems to be down now :(

I tried the Linux game database for a while, but it focuses too much on closed-source, commercial games IMHO...

Which site do you guys consider as the best, when it comes to play games on Linux ?

Bye and thanks,

Magic Sam

Happypenguin have often Problems but when you wait, sometimes are then back

and all seems ok.

I have often Problems accessing this Site too but found no good alternatives

I still frequently go to Linuxgames.com, but they don't post as much as they should and recently it's been mostly closed sourced and commercial games.. That site used to be great in the early 2000s..

I've been just browsing source forge, github.. to find new opensource games.

Thanks ...this is one of my bookmarked links that i check regularly to search for a possible port. Hope to see happypenguin site came back soon.

Hi all :)

The Linux game database (lgdb.org) has been down for a while now...

Which websites would you guys recommend for FLOSS gaming ?

Cheers, Magic Sam

Hi all :)

@ckblackm : thanks for the link ! Unfortunately, this site seems to focus on proprietary games... :(

http://happypenguin.altervista.org/index.php : can no longer tell the difference between a GPLed game and a commercial, closed source game on sale at Steam ...

@canseco : http://www.linuxgamecast.com/ focuses too much on commercial / closed source games IMHO ...

@Farox: http://freegamer.blogspot.com/ is a great site indeed :) Too little updates though, as if there were only 2 or 3 FLOSS games out every year...

@Linux-SWAT and @TrashyMG : http://www.linuxgames.com/ seems to be down nowadays...

Is it just me or has the FLOSS games scene completely vanished ?

Cheers, Magic Sam

@Magic Sam, yeah they folded since I posted that in 2013. I since picked up following Gaming On Linux page posted above.
