Is that a soundtrack vid you posted wrath ? anyways moving on Snes now probably not the best graphically (that would be DKC) but for graphical effects and wow factor back in 92 this games still got it and is still the best contra game period CONTRA III who didnt go wow when that jet flew overhead and these rotating overhead levels were incredible backed by a stupendous Miki Higashino soundtrack

OMG, Renegade on the Amstrad looks Awesome! I loved this game when it was in the Arcade, and the NES version was very sad to say the least. I wish I could have had this at the time, Excellent.

This is a tricky one to call...

Agree that Shadow Of The Beast on Amiga was definitely a stand-out title to me in terms of graphics.

Wings Of Wor/Gynoug on the Megadrive too, the beginning of second level when you start to submerge under water... who didn't sit up the top of screen there, making the most of skimming on the surface to appreciate that spraying effect?

SNES;

Castlevania's, look good.

Ghouls & Ghosts...

Mario Bros games always look nice to me too

Ok Dreamcast now two games stand out one that made me buy a Dreamcast Soul calibur and Jet Set Radio which just made you go WOW when you first played it Cel Shading hadint been used so effectively since TX1 people used to make a big deal of soul calibur being better than the arcade version considering the arcade version ran on overclocked heavily modified ps1 hardware id say the arcade version was quite a feat

I remember being mesmerized by Conker's BFD & Perfect Dark ('hi rez' mode enabled)

The owner of my local gamestore was an 'orrible piece of work, who I'm sure the Simpsons nicked the idea for comic book store owner guy from.. but he always had several Japanese machines running games behind the counter (that we could never play) I always remember Tsumi to Batsu (Sin & Punishment N64) attracting little crowds & I was distraught when I discovered I wouldn't be able to buy it (ah.. emulation!) & it still looks great imho..

Sega Saturn's best looking 3d title, in my eyes, is Panzer Dragoon Saga. A few of the boss battles are etched into my mind.

Soul Calibur does indeed shine on the DC.
