I thought its about time to come out of my edge,
and start coding a new game for the GP2X. :)
The game will be completely touchscreen controlled,
and it is a Worms clone.

Here are some preview pics (see the green dot? its just my stylus-placeholder):

Level selection with transitioneffect, preview for each level, and some water-gimmicks

automatic leveleditor, means you dont have to choose graphics, the editor places the correct ones

Ingame, choose unit auswählen, choos action, and fling the unit to jump, or the weapon to shoot.

Well, I need a name, atm its just titled "worms clone" :-D

The game is leaned towards the game Mutiny from Nitrome.
There's gonna be no singleplayer in the first release, just multiplayer.
I'm not going to code AI, before everything else is complete.

Nice screenshots. I'd name my worms game something like "skulikia" or "skolix" (but that's how worms are called in greek language). But there are people no worms :p

Hi Quiest,

Just a few names that spring to mind, That you could use for your game.

Hawaii Five-0
Hula Wormula
Tourist Target
Honolulu Havoc
Tropical Targets

Trooper

Looks like a fun game, I like a lot of Trooper's suggestions. And I am always down with VAGINA

Hawaiian shirts = relaxed
Worms clone = war

Causal Fightday
Causal FryDay
Casual Dieday
TGIF - Thank Goodness Its Firing
Beach Bombers
Don't sweat it
Happy War Fun Joy Killing Time?

heh, what's kinda ironic about this post is I'm also working on a game...similar in a way, just the old qbasic gorillas game. First time ever I did game programming, so I'm hoping it'll work out (been a develop for about 5-6 years though). First time developing for a handheld even.

Should be fun :)
