Hi guys

Just got my pandora (YAY)

Iv not been following boards ect for a while so got a couple of questions

When i have the charger plugged in to charge the system will not power off (i go to shutdown it goes off then auto comes back on does not do this with charger unplugged)

also had some screen bouncing and jitter but seems to have stopped now since i have the screen a gentle tap (loose LCD cable maybe)

and also were do i get the programs from ect is there a website were its all stored or is there some sort of app store built into the flash?

thanks

First issue is totally normal. You simply cant have the Pandora on the mains and not have it booted up. This may change in future with software implemented to allow for a 'charging state'. For now its on or off and the power save mode will also see improvements in future, to increase the battery time etc.

Screen jitter could well be LCD cable.

You are best following the links from here http://pandorapress.net/software-index/ as these wiki's are well maintained by ESN and other community members to include ALL of the known releases so far. Craigix is in the process of updating the APP STORE http://apps.open-pandora.org/ which will allow for paid for games aswell, to get it in check with the File Archive of Evil Dragons http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/pandora.cgi?0,0,0,0,1 which has most of the apps. The wiki's have them all for now. Some community members are also striving to make more choices available or easy ways to reference all these sites and auto update your collection, whilst a planned Pandora specific Repository is also planned at a later stage.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks for the help

ill just leave the lid closed on it then and leave it on to charge for now.

Np. Hehe re manual. Btw it will charge faster in the sleep mode by pushing the power switch briefly to the right, the screen will blank and the wifi light if enabled will go out. Uses up less resources in this mode and charges alot quicker. Hope you enjoy it when its good to go and you find it worth the wait. Pretty awesome bit of kit imho :)
