19-05-2005:

Some progress for the next MAME GP32 version (1.2):

- Underclocking option added.
- Single video buffer option added.
- Some optimizations.
- MAME core simplified.
- Gamma finally corrected (intensity bit set to 0).

Games are playable now at 100% with frameskip 0 or 1 at 166 MHz... ;-).

WIP: Documentation of the university project is is completed (2 weeks yet for evaluation i think...).

Good job Franxis, everyone out there will be eagerly waiting for that update ;P

BTW: Is there gonna be support for more games? What else can you tell us about this new update?

fs 0 or 1 at 166MHz...sounds unbelievable :)
i'm really looking forward to this and i wish you good luck. but i guess, your work will be unique and outstanding!

AWESOME news!!!

Um, would anyone happen to know where I can get "GP MAME Launcher 1.1" ?

The link on Franxis' site is NG ... and I tried looking over at GPspain, but no go :(

Franxis, I love you. And want to have your babies.

Seriously, for us old dudes, your GPMame is the first (and often in my case, last) stop after firing up the wee GP. You've done truly outstanding work in bringing Mame to a handheld.
Having Mame on the GP makes all these games so much more accessible for a quick session than going through Mame on Mac/PC. I've actually gotten pretty damn good on some of my old favourites from back in the day! Or at least I like to think so...

So well done Franxis!

No way?! Fantastic!

I cannot believe how far along the GP32 continues to go with emulation. Combined with the completely blockbuster stuff rlyeh has coming, this is really amazing.

I'm so torn between what to play, my Zodiac or my GP32. They're both getting so much cool stuff lately. :D And so much of it is free (especially on GP32). Good times, good times.

Wow, That's great news. I'm still loving 1.1, good luck with school. :)
