Yes indeed, it seems the left nub on my 1GHz unit is starting to become quite unreliable. Particularly, the left direction seems to fail, and I keep having to reset the nubs to get it behaving again. After the last instance of resetting and calibrating, I fired up Gran Turismo, and promptly plowed into the wall at the very first left turn of the very first race, as the stick had already lost the left action.
I guess I need to obtain a replacement nub. Who would be best to contact to get a replacement nub sent to Canada and what would be the cost? I have "mad soldering skillz", so I am unconcerned with the actual task of replacement.
