Because of the DNS bug (or whatever it is) that prevents me from doing anything to GP32 Theatre, I am appointing a new temporary administrator that will be on the site until the issue is all sorted out. From now on, Sam Fisher shall be the one in charge of making updates, so you can expect a few more now :)

The Internet Archive has lots of stuff like that. Get your legal movies, music, text, and software fix at archive.org. They also have the famous Internet Wayback Machine.

Ugh...I sound like a advertisment.

Totally. A GP32 encoded version of the original DOA would be v. nice...

And Night of the Living Dead!
why dont do it yourself? ;)

Time, lack of a decent encoder, complete non-interest in watching movies on my GP32, a BLU+, stopping me from using GPCinema 2.0 beta and thus making me even less interested, that sort of thing...

Really? I thought it supported better encoded files?

Nontheless, the other reason I'm not doing it is because it'd be something for the community, but my server doesn't support large enough files to upload it.

So how far are you allowed to go as temporary admin; how much can you add? Just new files, or new categories?
Also, are you on an unlimited space/bandwidth account, or is doomportables going to turn around to you and say "aaargh, stoppit, you're ruining EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!111" at some point?

I just ask out of interest...
*glances over huge list of PD downloads*
yeah. Just interest...

PoD is on an unlimited space/bandwidth server (don't ask me how it works, but that's what I've been told) so put what you want on it (well, there is a no porn rule, though a brief nudity scene would be ok with a warning by the download)

As for new categories, I'd prefer that Sam asks first, but it's ok with me, for the most part.

yeah besides i liek the current design. when i am editing it at school in note pad the head of ICT actually asked if i knew all that code could i fix the broken server

Its not really that complicated but ICT teachers are dumb.

I'm currently looking further into the more reputable catalogues of PD films, and I think you'll be pleasantly suprised at the number of Hong Kong action films that never renewed their copyright! We're talking films Jackie Chan made before he sold out, Old Sonny Chiba (who was more recently famed for playing Hattori Hanzo in Kill Bill) movies, and even a couple of Bruce Lee films. Can't get any of them from Archive.org, but I'll see about getting them from other sources...
