I know there's the official MP3 player as well as the betas from team k2yaa (or whatever it was).. but is anyone porting or has ported one of the free & opensource MP3 player such as mpg123 to GP32? I think there was talk of one for PacRom or something. Maybe there is a library out there?

Just checking. I made a couple of initial steps into a new little project that would be rather pointless without an MP3 playing component. If worse comes to worse, the GP32's CPU power should be up to a quick & simple port of a C MP3 player, right?

A new MP3 player would be excellent- If it did more than the old one. Maybe if it could play MOD,SID and OGG? I know there are players for all these formats on GP. If source could be intergrated with an MP3 player, that would be brilliant.

More wishfull thinking would be: skinable. Visual plugins and maybe integrated text reader for reading and listening at the same time (again, something like this exists, but without all the features above).
