Since this is basically going to be an entire OS, is there any plans to distribute games/software via packages instead of via plain old binaries like the GP2X? I think it would be useful to have an entire development environment like standard Linux uses, and have an easy way to upgrade packages for users. Something like dpkg/rpm, and maybe even go as far as have something like apt/yum for downloading/upgrading packages since it has wireless support.
This would hopefully make the install experience less painful for users and create a bigger audience. Instead of something like the GP2X file archive, just have a repository of packages that people can submit to.
Good idea? Bad idea? Thoughts?
