I've just recently gotten my Lapdock setup working with an MK802 pc-on-a-stick:

MOAI running on it:

So now I'm wondering about how I could get a Pandora rig to it .. I already have the EXT connectors, but I don't know anything about the output signal.  Anyone know if its possible to, somehow, get an HDMI adapter rigged up to the Pandoras' video output, so that I could use the Lapdock with it?

You need a composite/s-video-to-hdmi adapter. Those are kind of pricey, think 50 dollar minimum.

The image-quality would be disappointing as well.

Great, thanks for that .. I'll look into setting it up (I can use the adapter for other things too I presume) and if I end up getting my Pandora set up as a proper laptop using the lapdock I'll get back to this thread with pics and details ..

Finding something similar locally might be better. Deal Extreme can be great for some of this stuff (they sold the official samsung galaxy s video cable for around $4, while locally it was up to $80), but they ship using china post which can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months.

There's some links here for making the cable: http://pandorawiki.org/Hardware_Hacking#How_Do_I_Make_a_TV-Out_Cable.3F

There's chips that can take a parallell digital video stream like the one driving the LCD, and output HDMI/DVI from that. That would however take quite the soldering skills to implement, especially if you want the internal LCD to still function.

Official ones have not been made, one or two forum members were making small numbers of them themselves, I'm not sure if anyone is still doing this though - I'm sure they'll respond here soon if they are.
