This is a puzzle game where the goal is to tile the entire board with the 12 pentominos. The game keeps track of your solutions on all four grids. Version 1.0 brings sound effects, polish, and fixes various bugs.

- added sound effects
- fixed bug that accepted duplicate solutions
- controls are clearly displayed everywhere
- you can remove more than one piece at a time when in removal mode
- improved the movement from piece to piece in removal mode

Thank you Manjuu for your very nice feedback in the old thread, it helped me a lot!

Hi Alex, this looks intriguing, I would like to try, but as I do not have access to my GP2X now.. would a windows build be possible, please?
Sure thing, get it here: artraid.com/alex/pc-games/

PS: Gp2X archive was not updated yet, wait until the file there is newer than 01/01/2009 or try the PC version before passing judgement :D

Will try this as soon as I have internet again. I enjoyed the pre-release a lot..

*nudge* any chance you could throw it online somewhere else for the time being, waiting for the archives to get updated is driving me insane :p

My PC is down at the moment so I can't install it on my GP2X. Is the control scheme updated or changed? I downloaded the old version and found it very difficult to use. I originally requested this game and gave an example from a website with a java version that is easy to use. Anyway, thanks for updating it. I hope the control is easier now, God knows the game is hard enough as it is:)

My computer is too slow for Java, so I didn`t get a chance to try that game, my only reference was the Wikipedia article. You should have mentioned the controls being difficult, I hope you`ll find this version an improvement. The button controls are all written at the bottom of the screen, and going through and removing already placed pieces is better.

I honestly found this a fairly awkward game to make friendly with button controls. I`ll check out the Java version tomorrow, now I`m curious to see how it is.

Hey, Alex, have you ever played in "panik gastrik"? The play-idea is similiar but the graphics hmm.. just take a look. Maybe we could modify pentominos to look like this ? [ serious ]
I love that hardcore graphics :)

Who want to port this up?

BTW. Pentominos is really awesome, as most of your games , Alex :)

Nice to see improvements and fixes.

However, it still gets tedious removing a bunch of pieces, especially if they are located on right side of the puzzle; it would require pressing the right direction a lot. If a move wrap is possible, this would make it easier.

Aside from that, it's pretty good.

Thanks for the game. :)
