Hello all!
Two questions:
Firstly: Would anyone other than myself appreciate a pnd of Quod Libet?
I see "spirit" had a go at making it work 6 years ago, with reasonable success.
It seems to do a good job of building a sortable index from your music collection, with a few view modes appropriate for small displays. I've been using it on my (Debian) laptop for a while now (where it uses 0.7% of a 2.2GHz amd64 CPU) and it has become my favourite media player.
There is a good set of plugins and features, support for plenty of audio formats, as well as a tidy UI.
Secondly: Would any of the porting-wizards here be willing to have a crack at pnd'ing it?
It looks (to my untrained eyes) like it should be relatively straight forward , since it uses Python, GTK and gstreamer. Up-to-date source is available under the GPL, and it already has versions for lin/osx/win.
I would be terribly grateful to anyone willing to have a go (not that there aren't already some perfectly serviceable media players available) Pretty please with sugar and sprinkles on top?
