Hey hey, ease up People.
We're all pirates in one for or another just because the game companies officially denounce Roms.

Royston - it's on thing to Pirate games, it's a totally differnt thing to walk into a forum and brag about it. That you have a large collection bootlegged is only your own buisness and is not something other people need to be told about. It only leads to animosity with people who choose to buy all their games legitimatly. I don't condem your actions, but it's not cool to brag.

Your free to your opinion, so am I
But you are not free to express those opinions if they infringe upon the forum rules. Which they do. First by promoting the theft of intellectual property and then by your attempt to insult us.

Also i beleive your just backing rico because i hurt your feelings earlier by telling you your wrong !! Well you were wrong !!

On various occasions througout my life i have been told to be wrong. But this claim was usually backed by reason and not by repetitions.
If someone tells me something he can´t know, i wont feel hurt, but sorry for that poor sucker who´s trying to act up.

@royston:

Can you imagine, that I own about 100 PS2 RPGs without a single pirated copy?
And that I own only ONE PSP game - and that is Lumines. And, hey, could you believe I don't have ANY warezed PSP game?

It's just plain easy: If you don't like it - why should you have it? It doesn't make any sense.

So either you don't make any sense or you like the games and should be buying them and throw away your pirated stuff.

I admit, I have illegal roms on my harddisk, though these are mostly games I actually own or games I haven't found anywhere yet (like some MegaDrive games or never-translated SNES RPGs).
Though still being warez, they don't financially hurt as much as recently released warezed games.
And: If I happen to find a copy of that old game, I buy it (even re-released. I bought the FF6 re-release for PSX even though I played through the roms a while ago).

While most people here do have illegal roms of old, no longer supported systems, most here also are smart enough to know that recent systems need to make money from the games.

So, stop about this "I have sooooo many warezed PSP games, I'm soooo cool"-attitude, 'cause NOT having warez is much cooler, nobody here cares about how many warez you have and we don't want to talk nor hear about warez here.

'nuff said.

fishbong I have finished with this line of coversation, I took my shots and gave them back!!

I have no idea what your on about when you say "Ive been told to be wrong"

but whatever I didnt open this forum for a slanging match on piracy issues because its seems some do and some dont but its not my place to express my beliefs on anybody or express what might be right from wrong !!

Its just how I feel, not how everybody feels.

There's this unwritten rule of forums, that says that you don't insult moderators or admins. Yes, that's right, even if they insult you first! But don't worry, I'm not going to ban you. I'm just going to suspend your account for 100,000 days.

kidding

but seriously stop insulting admins

Why is there so much hatred in many forums.

There is piracy for every system be it PC or console, even more recently for the Gamecube.

Piracy will always happen, if its there for the taking.. no one can really stop them.

There's hatred because it's an emotive issue. I work damn hard for my money, and I see it as a duty to the industry that I enjoy and support to put money back into it, ie. buy the fucking games.

Some kids are bound to pirate, it's gonna happen and as a kid of the speccy generation I was as guilty as anyone. But Roysten claims to be an adult with more money than anyone else! And he not only pirates, but brags about it here!! Jeezz, if I came on here saying thatI was pirating commercial games for the gp32 imagine the mess that would cause.

Why should I buy the games, for this shithole to steal of the net? I work in Music and have had CDs I've recorded pirated. That's my money stolen from me. Why should I be happy with this?

There are limits, taking a 15 year old finacially dead rom is so far away from killing a new system. If you don't wanna buy it, then don't play it.

I got banned once from this forum, for not posting a link in a thread. This idiot should not only be banned, but reported for what he thinks is so cool.

Rico - gotta admit that "Shallow kiddie fiddling" line made for a chuckle... Not that I condone that sort of thing... the Kiddie fiddling or Admin insulting for that matter.

Anyway back to the matter at hand. The site claims to be the "official PSP site" so despite the SCEE name on everything my USAss should have no trouble registering right? I still wonder if this isn't just going to result in a region 2 UMD...

It does appear that the freebie will be a umd video I guess region 2 (Europe), if you have a jap psp it should be fine. Amer psp will be region 1 but you can always hope the umd is not region locked and I guess you can always sell the thing or part exchange.

dont know about the game, maybe that comes with psp when you buy it here but when you follow the link I posted, it says something about when you register your psp with the official site you will receive exclusive access and a pack including umd video spiderman 2 and demo disk. Have a look, link below

Well, regardless if it is region locked or not, with the new version of the WAB Version Changer, you can play ALL videos on ALL PSPs (well, 1.5 or 1.0, for sure) :)

Now, isn't that nice?

... but maybe the UMD is just a demo video of the game :p

Not having owned a console for a number of years (present GP32 excluded of course) do they re-release games on budget?

I can't personally afford to go buying PC games at 30 and 40 quid a shot as I have more important things to spend my money on. I do however often buy games on re-release budget labels for sometimes as little as a 10 quid.

I do the same with DVDs I always wait a while before buying them. A couple of months ago I picked up seasons 2,3 & 4 of Babylon 5 from choices direct at 17.99 each on special offer. I notice that the Babylon 5's are back up in price but the Stargates are down to 22.99 per season so there are bargains to be had if you wait.
