I got squidge snes working
but many roms dont seem to be running at a good stable speed
some roms work ok, but most run at 2-9fps
i was just wondering if its bad roms i have or if the emu stlll needs to be improved.
thanks ;)

If you'll overclock to like 250 ( should be possible ) games like megamann, mario world will run at maximal speed without sound ( some even with sound! ) and mario kart will run at 30fps without sound at 250mhz. And thats really playable!

Be sure to use the latest version ( 0.37a I think, with autoframeskip )

Oh, the emulator is still getting developed, I think reesy is trying to implent squidge's mmu hack into the emulator..

Cheers, David

thats cool
yes i think i might not have the .37a just 0.37
anyway, im not much of a computor person, could some one tell me how i could overclock snes to 250mhz? i am able to over clock stable to 290mhz.

#!/bin/sh

/mnt/sd/utilities/cpu_speed.gpe
1 2 270 0.6
./squidgesnesa.gpe
sync

cd /usr/gp2x/
exec /usr/gp2x/gp2xmenu

Copy this into your favourite text editor.
Replace the underlined text in the third line with the exact path to your cpu_speed utility. And replace the 270 with your prefered clockspeed ( too high speeds may force the emulator to quit after the nintendo logo )

Then save it with unix line endings and name it "squidgesnes_overclocked.gpe" or something and copy it into your squidgesnes folder.

i only overclocked it to 250
would 270 or 280 let me play with sound without slowing the game down to much?

when it does play at 250, the screen goes fuzzy
