So, I found this site (4chan warning, though the memes are kept to a minimum):

http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com

and it's got quite good lists for : Xbox 360, DS, Wii, Arcade, PlayStation 3, iPhone, PlayStation Portable, Xbox, Nintendo 64, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Color, SNES, Gamecube, Virtual Boy, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, Saturn, TurboGrafx-16, PlayStation 2, Playstation 1, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket, 3DO, Nintendo Entertainment System, Atari 2600, Sega Master System, and Colecovision Games.

Something to look at for any of those systems.

Also some special interest (Mickey Mouse, Halloween, etc).

But there's no Amiga list, and I never had one. My uncle gave me a whole bunch of his Amiga disks after his box broke, but I've never dug through them, or looked to emulate any of them.

So what's worth playing on an Amiga? As I understand it, it was one of the major purposes of the Pandora, according to Craig.

A good Amiga list could take forever - there's a LOT.

A couple of my faves:

Deuteros
Walker
Typhoon Thompson
Wizkid

I never had an Amiga myself, but I've bought a whole bunch of games over the last year and a half, as well as gotten legally-freely-released gems from Back to the Roots. :p I have a few suggestions.

Sleepwalker - Platformer - This game is what you would get if you put the platform game genre, Lemmings, and Tom & Jerry into a blender. You play as Ralph, a dog whose human, Lee, has a habit of sleepwalking. You have to prevent Lee from getting himself killed overnight. Ralph is invincible, but all sorts of comic mishaps befall him. (This game was originally made as a fundraiser for the British charity Comic Relief. If you like it, it may be worth considering sending them a donation.)

Fire and Ice - Platformer - You play as Cool Coyote, who has been charged with tracking down a fire-powered alien beast who has the power to torch the planet. Cool Coyote has to defeat enemies by freezing them with ice pellets, and then shattering them into a gajillion pieces by running into them, in an effort to piece together the key that will let him continue to the next level. The key parts are placed with random enemies each time, so it never plays the same twice. (Fire and Ice, and the "Christmas Special" demo version which features an exclusive level, is legally available to download from Back to the Roots.)

Pinball Dreams - Pinball - An excellent video-pinball game with near-perfect controls and physics, which is an absolute must for anyone's library. (This game is legally available to download from Back to the Roots.)

Lemmings - Puzzle - The original version of the much-ported legendary game where you need to assist the green-haired, blue-suited rodents in getting through increasingly fiendish landscapes. Another absolute must.

Yo! Joe!

SWIV is possibly the best shooter for the miggy and it's even better when played with a pal.
There is also Battle Squadron which is also great played with another person.

Mind you, I suppose two player is a tad tricky on a handheld...oh, no thru the TV would be great!

Also, don't forget Xenon and Xenon II!

Wizkid
Tetris Pro
Super Cars 2 (Awesome 2 player game)
MasterBlaster (5 player bomber man game with ridiculous powerups)
Turrican 2 (is there anyone who does not like this game?)
Robocod
Dizzy games!
Lotus 2 (another awesome 2 player game)
Deluxe Pacman
Yo!Joe!
Arabian Knights

Oh there are just so many. It isn't like the SNES/MD where there are a kind of 'set' of good games everyone knows. The Amiga just had so many games.

Also hundreds and hundreds of awesome PD (free) games. Think how much you play flash games now, the Amiga was like that, every month every magazine would have some addictive free games included on the cover disk.

Appart from those mentioned by other people,
I really liked the Valhalla series, e.g. 'Valhalla & The lord of Infinity'.
puzzles well thought out, and his wee voice is funny.
