Just seeing if any one else is into anime i only really discovered the good stuff like full metal panic and ghost in the shell and just seeing what else everyones is my current favourites are:-

Outlaw star
Yu gi oh (ok u may think its crap but i like it)
Full metal panic
Animatrix

Dont really know many more.

Me and my friend Jerry are huge Anime fans, so I can list a bunch.

Movies:
Ghost in the Shell
Armitage III Poly-Matrix
Spriggan
E.Y.E.S. of Mars
Vampire Hunter D and its sequel Bloodlust
Akira (like duh, it's probably the most classic Anime ever)
Tekken

Series:
Outlaw Star
Berserk
Dragon Ball Z (not original, and GT is a let down)
Hellsing (heh, if you can't tell I'm a fan...)
Record of Lodoss War (original OAV, not TV series)
Big O
Inuyasha
Reign: The Conqueror

There's a lot more that I've seen and have liked but I can't think of all of them right this minute. If it wasn't for Sci-Fi Channels Japanese Anime Invasion week some 7 years ago, I would never have watched Anime and would not be able to appreciate it for what it is now. And I doubt Anime would be as big in America as it is now if it wasn't for them either.

Its a real pain though because i can only get the Anime stuff off Toonami at 5 o'clock in the morning (yes i was just watchin some then) Its now 5:50 and i watched Outlaw Star and Tenchi Universe,Tenchi is actually really shit i think,But i love outlaw id saty up all nite and morning to see it,Theres like one every Morning so i cant see them all due to school.

Ohh and JCBNetwork im 16 yearsold why?Dont u watch Anime?

ohh and thanks NSSOne .

Have tyou seen the first episode of Outlaw Star?

P.s:im gettin da second full metal pani for christmas and Akira!YEy

Yes, I have seen Outlaw Star, almost every episode. Tenchi is actually a pretty good series, but it has no consistency whatsoever. I guess that's kind of cool, because atleast each season made sense, but the origins of the show keep changing every episode. It's really messed up, in one season, Tenchi's grandfather ends up being the long lost brother of Princess Ayeka. So that makes Tenchi her grand-nephew. But she's in love with Tenchi, so wouldn't that be some knid fo incest? But Tenchi Muyo In Love is a good movie, it explains the absence of his mother.

Outlaw Star was seriously under-rated and deserves a second season, but none was made. I really dug Gene Starwind and Melfina.

I watch quite a bit of anime, and my favorites at the moment are:

-Fullmetal Alchemist (very cool)
-Ruruouni Kenshin (one of the best ever IMHO)
-Last Exile (very "stylized")
-Read or Die (an instant classic, but only 3 episodes)

Some classics that I would say can't be missed are:

-Cowboy Bebop
-Trigun
-Akira (obviously)
-Ninja Scroll
-FLCL ("Fooly Cooly") - very weird, but worth it

There's A LOT more, but they are slipping my mind at the moment. If I think of any more, I'll let y'all know.

Metropolis is good! And there's no getting away from fist of the north star for just all out bloodshed! I've got into the Kanon fansubs - I'm not sure if the series is really great or just not rubbish, but I spent so long finding them, I feel obliged to watch them all! Spirited away, Guyver, Blood the last vampire. There's others I just can't hink this early in the morning! Jace

I remember!
Laputa castle in the sky and Princess Mononoke.

Each tenchi series is a self contained different story. Kind of like alternative realities. Basically the tenchi OVA, universe series and tokyo are not interchangeble.

I like most of the series mentioned above (outlaw star, berserk, akira and such) and I would definitely recommend escaflowne and princess mononoke.

Hentai would be a genre within anime, just like porn is a genre in ordinary film.

Kenshin
Hellsing
