Has anyone ever tried using a zen micro as a usb hard drive for there gp2x. I was thinking about buying one with a broken headphone jack (common problem) and using it as a 6gb portable battery/ac powered hard drive.

Hmm, I have one ... and a Dev. BOB, so I'll see if it works with that ...

great thank you, i figure if it works then that, my host cable, a usb snes controller and my mini usb hub would be the perfect kit as they would all fit in a camera bag and give me a total of 8gb of storage.

Well, as expected, it didn't recognize it (I actually have a Zen Nano, but I thought it was close enough to test it out ...)

Might have something to do with it not being formatted as FAT32, but I still use the player, so I didn't want to mess with it ...

well on the micro you have to partition part of the hard drive for usb storage but this can be done from the menu. Does the nano have the same option?
