The Pyra will support USB peripherals to a similar extent to a Linux desktop PC. Roughly speaking, this means that:
- USB memory devices, many network adaptors, keyboards and mice should all work flawlessly out of the box
 - Other devices (such as audiovisual equipment) have a good chance of working, especially if they are a popular brand and more than a year (or so) old. Check before you buy.
 - Devices produced by hacker/maker friendly organisations have a very high chance of working, but you may have to beg a member of the community to port the software to ARMhf (or do it yourself!)
 - Devices for which the only drivers available are closed-source ones provided by the manufacturer have a very poor chance of working, even if the manufacturer offers drivers for x86(_64) Linux systems

eSata adaptor
- The USB 3.0 Port provides USB 2.0 and eSATA via the superspeed Connectors. An Adaptor converts this to an real (e)SATA Port

- Plugs in to allow connection of eSATA drives to your pyra.
 - Uses native SATA hardware in the Pyra's SoC, allowing greater datarates than a SATA-to-USB adaptor.
