purple gp32_console

fs 1st souble post ever!
good for you
two letters aa

i want a clear case with led all over the place
yes...he DOES seem to talk about beer and the like a lot...hehe....

aa...do everyone a favor ;) you may fall asleep next to your gp32_console and barf all over it

ALSO...i am researching the case thing...i will start(trying...) to make simple things...example: the grey surround for the screen prtector...then i may move up to buttons...then the joystick...then the case...

IF i can get the stuff...this prolly won't happen...i'm just thinking outloud here....so don't expect anything soon...

plus, to do this quickly, once i had 1 mold made i would have to make a couple if i were to sell cases...to make it more time efficient ;) IF i make a mold...might not happen tho...

i am the resident gp32 modder tho...not that i have the 32mb tho...i should do that soon...

You won't need to create more than one mold at all. Resin sets almost instantly (less than 10 mins), so once a perfect mold has been made, you could make about 5-6 cases every hour.

A mold, depending on the material, would probably hold up for about 100 or more casts. So perhaps a new mold would have to be taken each week.

Anyway, you shouldn't need to worry too much about doing this yourself. I have the materials already being delivered, and I will definatley be selling them cheaper than it would cost to make a one off case for yourself. Plus, I won't be selling anything unless I can get pretty close to the original case quality. I am a bit of a perfectionist :).

ok...5-6 cases per hour with one...15-18 with 3... ;)

there is a store where i live with all of the stuff needed to make em...are you in the UK? i will just assume so...maybe you could be the "uk guy" for this and i could the the "us guy" ;) it could help everyone save on shipping... ;)

Plus this would be good experience for me...i want to make all kinds of stuff...clear gamecube...droooooool!and i would like to make several colors for mine...a different gp32 each week!

maybe we could get the clear purple cases, then the grey stuff could be gold...then we could have a "pimppark 32" hahahahahahaha  then we could make one without a case, and it could be the bitch

Sounds excellent mate, thanks for the responses...it seems i didnt have email notification for this thread so i only just noticed it :D

I'll be up for buying a new case 100%...Im undecided about colour though so let me know (email me if you like) when you are selling and I'll decide.

Also, will you be making simply the case (the white bit) or other parts (buttons etc)? Does the main case include the grey surround with port holes etc in?

Replacing the buttons would be the easiest thing, and they would be dead cheap to make. So if all goes to plan, every plastic part should be replaceable. Surprizingly, the battery cover will probably prove to be the most difficult part though. We will just have to see, it'll probably take me about 10 attempts to get a good mold from the original case. I also have to take into account the modifications needed for the FLU kit.

Yea, good point about the FLU stuff, although from looking at mine the only alteration seems to be a tiny hole in the back...easy with a drill.

Buttons without letters on would be cool...all matte black, buttons, stick, screen frame etc...except the start and select buttons glowing red....mmmmmm

It's a great idea and I would definitely buy a colored case of you. Don't want to spray paint my white one as I'll probably screw up.

Hey,

Any news on this matter? I'm getting sick of using sellotape to stop my battery cover falling off!

Cheers in advance

Yes, the update is that a mistake was made with my original order, but I have reordered and the plastic should be arriving very shortly. I will make an update post when/if I have any success.

Good work amigo.
