Where we have it makes no difference to foreigners, there are regular flights to airports all over the country so it won't make any difference to them whether its London or Edinburgh or anywhere in between they are going to.

While foreiners would be nice. Isnt this a British meet up.. shouldnt the locations of Brits be most important?
Yup, I don't think there's much chance of someone coming overseas for this even if it does rock! :D

THIS HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH!!!! someone, axman, for instance just needs to stop all the this and say "this is when it's gonna be held, it's gonna be here, if you dont like it, fuc off", it may seem harsh and unfair, but if a desision isn't made soon this topic will just fade away again, and the days will go on and we'll be no closer to a meet

Woah there.

With that sort of attitude, you'd make a very lonely meetup organizer.

The reason I started this so early was spo there'd be plenty of time to decide. To me, the most fair place would be the Midlands. This would allow people from the North who couldn't come last time because of the distance to have more chance of making it. It's looking mroe and more like Birmingham to me, as it's a good transport hub with lots of trains from differnt places going there.

That's what I'm erring towards at the moment.

Opinions?

Birmingham sounds good.We never gonna find anywhere that everyone is going to be happy with so like axeman sez let's keep it central.

axeman, without this sort of attitude there won't be a meet to be lonely at. it believe it was lurch who started this topic (not this tread), and when was that? january. its taken us 4 months for an authortive member to be "erring towards" a location. can you please just finalise it, like lurch says, we're never gonna find a place where everyone is happy, so axeman, just pick somewhere that suits you, whereever it is there will be enough of a show up for good times to be had by all!

lol after we've arranged the general location we've still got the actual venue to decide upon. but I guess that'll be done by Axeman. btw who started this all up? There's been three threads on it now I think.

Ok.

So thats decided then. Brum it is, and Brum it'll remain. Big enough for us to find SOMEWHERE there to meet. You gotta understand that it's difficult to please everyone, and if you jump into something without LOTS of consultation, you're gonna piss people off.

I know - I've done this before :)

I'll try and get a website online with the photos from last year's meetup and the initial details for this years meetup soon.

RIGHT - venues anyone? Who's near brum? Got any ideas... usual things etc etc. Would be convenient for many if there was a source of alcohol / food like last year.

Get dem venues rolling in....

Well, if deciding on a venue, a date should also be decided, to give us a rough idea.

Stay away from the 5 and 6th of July though, alot of rock fans here will be at download Donnington.
