Kof91 Help! Is The File Extension For Midis .mod ?

There is aprogram out there somewhere that will convert midi to mod but its so long winded as you have to specify each instrument in the file. Your best bet is to get .mod files to begin with (note not .xm .s4m .it but .mod). Mod music is also called Protracker files and is basically better quality than Midi and uses less memory.

If you after game music in mod format then try Mirsoft or the Mod archive

I see. Thanks for those links .. I guess I'll glean some cool tunes in .mod format, and rename them to fit the new backgrounds.

Thanks again for the info (I feel so smart after coming to these forums  )

(Is it possible to hijack one's own topic?)

...umm, does anyone know the .mod file size limitation? I've been goofing around, trying out different .mod files for music, and it seems like anyone over ~300k crashes the game.

(I'm having TONS of fun trying out different backgrounds & characters)
