yay SNK rock the house,

AES is by far a better console than the SNES and Megadrives, but the damned cartridges are bigger than my Gamecube

Whether or not it had enuff games to satisfy u is another question, although for a bit of variation Blues Journey is excellent

Top AES games to have:
KOF98
KOF2000
Metal Slug (if ure rich)
Blues Journey
Matrimelee
Samurai Spirits 2
Riding Hero
Garou:MOTW
Rage of the Dragons

Obviously u gotta b rich to have all of these, sadly i am not and only own 5 of them

Fair point. Still think you're harsh to label Sega as shit but you're entitled to your opinion.

People get so passionate about their favourite console it makes them blind to the fact that there might actually be some decent games on a rival system.

i'd love to have an AES sadly im nither rich nor had the forsight to buy one, i'm only 16 :D . im stuck with emus but dream console would be a good aes setup.

lol, if you try you mite be able to find a bargain, especially on Kazuya Neo Geo For Life forums, I got an AES wit hSamurai Spirits and Riding Hero for £70 (it's not boxed, but i wanted it for the games, which is unusual coz alot of my purchases are for collectio)

I remember for my 9th birthday I had the choice of getting a Nintendo64, Playstation, or Snes. I chose the genesis (Rebel without a cause)! I remembered
earlier playing toe jam and earl 2 and it is the funnest game! I loved playing
sensible soccer and my first Rpg(slash adventure) Beyond Oasis. But my favorite
game ever was Mario rpg for SNES.

This thread has gone shit too many nintendo fan boys to make a decent argument. They all deserve a slap. Someone said the FX chip was a revolution AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats the funniest thing I've ever heard. You just keep believing that. No doubt releasing ports of old games is also a revolution haha. Yes the mega cd was shit but it was more of a "revolution" than the Fx chip ever was. And I preffered the saturn to the N64 BTW. Play a few more games, it had perfect metal slug and xmen vs street fighter as well as other great games. BTW sega is "shit" now hence the bankrupcy and I thought the DC was "shit" and preffered the saturn. At least sega didn't release Mario 1005 and Mario kart 30. Mario is getting extremely stale. Nuff said.

No, just Sonic R, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, those stupid repackagings of Sonic Adventure on PC and GC, hell in fact you have to go back to Sonic 3 for a reasonable Sonic game.

I'm not a Nintendo fanboy, I love my DC and Saturn (which has loads of good games for it btw) but the SNES is the greatest console ever. Nuff said.

Am I the only one who think 70-30% is surprising *not* ass-whooping? After all, the SNES is clearly the most advanced console, yet 30% of people prefer the Megadrive.

That's pretty good going! I quite like both of them, but the SNES is such a pain from an emulation point of view that I kind of prefer the Megadrive
Not my words, I was paraphrasing someone else earlier in the thread. However I'd say 70-30 is pretty much an ass-whopping!

I don't know how you can say the SNES was clearly more advanced, they were on sale at the same time and it was only the later SNES games that looked a lot better than Mega Drive games.

Considering that the Mega Drive outsold the SNES handsomely in the UK (where the majority of this board are from), I'd say that shows quality wins out in the end. :p

Oh, and I love Dual Shocks.
they may have been on sale at the same time but the megadrive was released a lot earlier in the UK than the snes hence the difference in sales performance.

the megadrive was my first experience of the 16 bit era and it was fantastic but when the snes came along I sold my megadrive so I could buy the snes, paying £60 for the US version of Street Fighter 2 on import and finally being able to play it at home was one of my fondest memories! snes wins overall for me!

P.S. the only dissapointment with the snes was when I got it home from the shop and realised you had to wire your own plug on it! no joke!
