I get irritated over little things like the way you can see a thin strip of light on the outside of the grey border of the FLU screen.

To get rid of it, prize the border off (I just wedged my finger nails between the glass and the plastic all the way round and slowly got it off.)

Then roll a thin (couple of mm thick) sausage from white tac and run it all the way around the edge against the wall where the border goes.

Press it up against the casing with a smal screw driver or something, all the way round.

Put a lil extra blob in the corners, light seems to show through still there if you don't, squash this down a bit as well.

Push down the border again firmly all the way round, and thats it :D.

Slight pointless but if it irritated anyone else, thats a quick and easy way to fix it. Those of you that have glass screens have most likely already done it anyway :).

Yes. I plan on doing this when I get my glass replacement screen from MashMods. I'll use plumber's putty. :D

I find it rather irratating to. lol this should be pinned like the diagnol fixing thread. But I don't think too many people will be bothered about this, just us perfectionists.

I'm anal-retentive about these things ... plus, if light leaks out, there's an opening for dust to get in. ;)

Thats not a bad idea, though the inside light irritates me more. I scrutinized a GBA SP and compared to the light of GP32. In the GBA, the rim of the frame is blackened so that you cannot see the lighting border - the hem of the glass layer - and that surprisingly leads to a better image. You dont see the light so the image is clearer.
It may be possible to put a thin strap of sticky tape around the glass layer, but that would diminish the visible part of the display. Except for that, the two light systems seem to be made in the same way. Any idea how to improve the quality of the image?

I just put tape around it on the outside, mainly to keep dust from getting in.

i know little things about my gp annoy me, the battery case is clicky and there is a tiny speck of dust right in the bit where you have the black border in opensnesgp so its very visible

Lol, well I say I'm picky but the L and R buttons were put on the wrong way round when the unit was put together and I havn't changed it :p. Makes it a lil different though so I'm not too worried.

I love DVD's so naturally i watch widescreen movie on my gp32_console .

Problem is the dust sneaks in and clumps in the black border. It is so distracting when im watching The French Connection because the film's already grainy (70's camera's <_< )
