I'm trying to get a program that'll record a fullscreen progrm I've tried all of these , I'll state the reason why they're not fit for the job:
Camtasia Studio 2: Sound works fine but all I get is a pink screen
Camstudio: Same as the above :(
BB Flashback: Hasn't got a hotkey, sometimes it only records for two secons :S and it lags the pc loads.
Fraps: Oh so close, records nicely res I wanted, everything is perfect.. Then halfway trhough the movie the sound always gos out of sync :(

Helppppppppppppp

I never had that problem with Fraps, and I can't recommend another program. Maybe just try to free some CPU power?

Why don't you use the first and the last together? Get the sound from the first one, the movie from the last and edit them together using virtualdub and some sound editing program like wavepad? I.e. if its in sync at the start with the last one, then you should be able to work out where you need to start the stream from after you've ripped and trimmed the sound from the first. Maybe.

I think VD is supposed to have a framecapture option too, though I never worked out how to use it...

Hmm, this sounds like some overlay / not overlay problems.
Try fiddling with your player / recorder settings a bit.
You should record overlay if you enable overlay in your player.
And you shouldn't record overlay if you play back without overlay.

Sadly there's another problem EvilDragon, the freeware version of Fraps I'm using only lets you record 30 seconds of footage and also has the fraps logo halfway down the screen through the movie...
So if anyone knows of any others...
;)

I'm glad to see you don't want to try warez, as although that would be your best option it would be illegal .
