HELLO! i had a pretty spiffy idea...i think that it is pretty possible too...using the gp32s ext port as the gba link port for the gba emulator...so we can play all of the"great" gamecube-gba games with gp32... :D ...or even link games with a gba...THAT would be FUNNY! playing gba games with a backlight, full speed, AGAINST a gba! with a bigger screen too

i think it is posssible... :D ...and wouldn't require too much code either..

Yeah it should be possible but a lot of work for something pretty useless. GPadvance is still in alpha stage so it would be ages before it would be attempted.

weeell...i THINK since the gba emulator is just running the arm code and emulating the rest, it should just be using arm commands to access serial whatnot...i'm not just dead sure what type of communication the gba uses, but the arm 9 should be compatible with it...it might just be a matter of redirecting the data to the gp32 serial port and making a cable...and that cable shouldn't be more complex than a gba link cable... B)

I think enf65 already planned that...
I remember saying on his website (something like chez.com/shubaca) a line about link by RF

see you
no no no no!

i was thinking it would be able to link to an ACTUAL gba :D

The funny thing is, I was thinking how both of those features would be really cool just yesterday

even though the gba emu is in its alpha stage, u could always use it with fgb32 :D . then u could trade pokemon with friends to give them a good pokemon, and then load a state :p .

NO NO NO!!! it would be HARDER with an actual emulator...

see, the gba uses an ARM7 and the gp32 uses an ARM9...and the gba program should just use arm code to access the serial port (or whatever it is...)... soooo, when you try to use a link game it should be accessing some pins on the arm cpu... and if it were the wrong ones you could set it up to send that data to the serial port (or whatever it is...) and make a cable that goes from gba-gp32 and vice versa! AND you could also make a cable to use the gp32 with a GAMECUBE!!!1111 :D

maybe using a debugging tool (the usb one?) with the emulator running could give us some clues... :D
