Liksangs New Banner

Are you refering to that flash shite at the top of every single bloody page that got on my tits so much that after 2 minutes I removed all traces of flash from my machine just so I could restore my sanity and machine speed?

I find this banner really great & well made & attractive :)
but even if I got a GP32 since long long time now I don't knew we can really use a true Mame emu

Don't worry guys. In a few days this flashing banner will be replaced with static one, but as for today static baner is still "work in progress" so I just used temporary this one. :)

lol, I adblocked it almost instantly... regular banners I can deal with, but Flash is distracting.

Is there a browser that can switch off images on a site by site basis? Its not like I actually need the images from this site. (I mostly read)
If you have Firefox you can get an extension called Adblock which lets you permanently remove images so they never show up again.

I think Ghostzilla can be set to not load images or only load them when you mouseover.
Handy browser too, good if you want to surf the internet with a teacher peering over your shoulder. Not really useful anymore but *shurgs* clever nonetheless - it auto-minimizes when you take your mouse off the window, and it doesn't show up on your task bar. To get it back you move your mouse to the left, right, left. I think. While since I used it.

Flash ads are a pestilence on humanity.

Firefox can do that, especially with the Adblock extension.

More importantly is it really smart to go advertising the system emulators (and one that dosent even really exist yet, MAME) so loudly and blatantly?

I have a Shuttle Zen ST62K computer which is a very quiet system with fans speeding faster when the cpu temp rises. Flash banners like the big Liksang banner on the frontpage use so much cpu power it makes my computer noisier. Why does a simple banner have to use 15% of a 2.8GHz Pentium IV

There, I've said it, feel sooo much better now...

Since when does this site has a new banner? Is this site even banner supported? I Have flash disabled by default so I guess I have been missing something but when I turn it on nothing changes
