Is OOP similar to Javascript?
Not really, OOP is class of programming. It involves 3 main concepts, encapsualtion, inheritance and modularity. There are many programming languages that support OOP to varying degrees.

Javascript is a scripting language. Typically used with a web browser.

Thanks for the kind input folks.

I was reading a bit on Mirko's site, specifically the tutorial for 'hello world', and something concerns me;

* These tutorials will:
*
* - introduce you to C programming for the GP32

Some folks say that one should learn C first, then C++ ... and reading the tutorial, I'm unsure which way to start ... is the syntax vastly different from C to C++ ? Is his tutorial written in C ?

I don't find it particularly hard to understand, but I want to make sure I won't be wasting my time learning a programming language theat's not best suited for GP32 development.

Thanks again, in advance.

Thats something of a religous debate.

The reality of the stuation is you can write either C or C++ programs for the gp32.

The syntax for both languages is similiar. If you learn C++ it will be very easy to switch to C afterwards.

Also, the tutorials in Mirko's SDK are very basic so going through them shouldn't harm you one way or the other.

Thnaks again, Dalto. You've set my mind at ease.

The problems I had with learning C/C++ where that I knew Basic/ Pascal and the new things where fairly easy (I followed some tutorials; loops, if statements, arrays etc, all piss easy). Then that was it... What I really wanted to know wasent in these tutorials; so I gave up and went back to web development :(
