Well it's official, I got chatting to someone in GameStation today and was told they recived confimation that the GP32 will never be released in Britian officially.

Sorry if it's old news, but now it seems official.

Do they need to release offically, when craig sells them at the rate he does?
if they stocked them in the UK we would see more english games more support and if it ever broke u could just take it down to GameStation on trade in

Its probably cause nintendo sells the most games in europe in the uk. So maybe they were scared off by the fact a law suit would happen if they released it in the uk. More realistically they're probably using all the money they have on making the gp32 2

Well, that kinda sucks, but I think it's a little late to release the GP32 when the DS and PSP are just around the corner anyhow. Gamepark probably realise that it's not worth the risk considering how many units they already sell in the UK through GBAx and lik-sang. I wouldn't bet against the GP32 2 coming to the UK sooner rather than later, though...we've proven ourselves to be more than happy to support the underdog when it comes to handhelds in the past.

Why would gamepark face a lawsuit from nintendo if they released in the UK, isnt that what an open competitive market is all about ???

I guess he's talking about the GBA/NES/GB emulators...Nintendo might not win, but they sure would give it a try!

I wouldn't call talking to a shop assistant official. These guys normally don't have a clue. To be honest though, you can order it from europe and it comes with English instructions , so i'm not too bothered even if this is true.

Nah he knew what he was talking about; he's a gamer. And besides GameStation had it down on their lists last Novemember when I asked; he said they've had written confirmation that it won't be coming out.

You mean they had it on the coming soon board?

I wish there was a games shop in my city.

Nope, but I asked. One girl said she'd never heard of it, the other had looked on the bit of flimsy white paper and it said it.

And if the guy still isn't impressed punch him in the face.
HARD!

I hate high street games shops though, they are always filled with Chav's.
