No you can't, GP32 can only use Smartmedia Cards that are 3.3v, and anything above 128Mb is 5v. Also, the bios probably couldn't read from anything higher than 128Mb anyway.

moreover,

i never see 256Mb smartmedia. <_<

could you tell me where to find it?

bye

I added your other question.

Btw, for cleanup purposes I will be deleting posts like mine that deal with the 'administration' of the FAQ. Possibly a new thread could be created for it. This is just to make it friendlier for visitors and less cluttered for regulars :)

I also suggest putting the SMC to [Insert media here] question in here.

I.E: Will the SMC to XD converter work?

Maybe you should add the difference of a SMC and a SD card. I got a little confused at first but thats the idiot who runs the local Computer shop's fault.

No I can assure you I didn't joke. ;)

With this adapter you can put xD over 128 MO on your GP32 and it works well but the best is the compact flash adapter because compact flash cards are much less expensive. ;)

But can the gp32 actually read the data that goes over the 128MB limit?

EDIT: Where can I buy a converter?

The GP32 can not read any cards over 128mb, regardless of whether through a converter or "virgin".
