I have a chance of getting a Zodiac 2 for £70.00 + a BLU, I already have a BLU of my own and plan to keep it, I just want other peoples opinions on getting a Zodiac.

Is it worth it?

I dont want to start a "GP32 is better than a Zodiac" "No it isn't" debate.
I just want to see if its worth me getting one.
I would just use it for emulation.

Thanks.

My friend got a Zodiac for coming back to school. All he does is yell about it to me now(I showed him my Gp32 months ago and he said he was gonna get one but decided to go with the zodiac because it had "more features he'd use") anyway he is very upset about how you have to pay for so many things and how he has to get things signed or something from tapwave to use(they have to pay $20 for doom!?! thats crazy, emus need to be signed which is driving some away from the handhel yoyo for example).

Yoyo's LJX for the Z is out now, so the emulation situation is equal. The signing only takes a few hours, there were other issues involved though that have since been cleared up. Either way it is definately worth it, but you do have to pay for more stuff mostly because the underground scene is still being developed. I like both but use my Z more for the PDA stuff.

Thanks all. I decided not to bother at the min. as my GP32 is still fine for me.
I'm gonna have another look in a few months (after the Gizmodo comes out) see what the situation is then.

Again, thanks for your thoughts.

I completely agree with you. ;)

It doesn't look like anything has driven away Yoyo from the Zodiac. He has just updated his emu on it shortly after release and posts frequently on the Zodiac boards. It looks more like the Zodiac has driven him away from the GP32.

Isn't the new GP mkII or whatever it's called supposed to be out mid next year?

Mind you with Gameparks track record we'll be lucky if we see it before 2008.

If you wait for everything though, you'll end up with nothing. There will always be something new.

What makes you think it'll be any different? Z+LJZ covers the popular emulators anyway.

There are next to none Zodiac specific homebrewn games which is a problem with me. If you want a Zodiac, you will mostly be paying for the games.
