Quake 2 Pwad

Please download it on my site, because I already made a small update (nothing special to notice).
On my site you'll always get the latest version. ;)

P.S. : This PWAD isn't very different from the old Quake GP one but there are the real Quake II menus I entirely remade this time instead of the old Doom II one. :)
The title screen is also from the real Quake II.
I don't like Partial Conversion but Total one. :)
I also made a big work of texture alignment in this version, gfx, voice and sound replacement.

Enjoy it. :)

Hia,

The Pwad is fab, I have one little gripe however: On the sample used to pick up items, such as health, you get a click at the begining of it. Would it be possible to correct this in later revisions? You could possibly take the amplitude of the sample down or make sure it starts at zero?

Other than that, it's a great wheeze :).

Thanks for your work on this,
Clare.

Yes I'm gonna correct this and a few other things. ;)

EDIT : WarmFluffyUK > I don't hear any problem or click with this sound sorry.

Hia,

The click is right at the start of the sample, if you pick up a few things right after each other, it click like crazy on my GP32. No worries if you can't hear it though, maybe I'm just being picky

Clare.

I replaced the sample by another one that is less "dirty" even though I can't hear your main problem, then download the PWAD again. :)

I do hear the same click when picking up an item - I believe this is a problem with the actual GPDoom program, not with samples per se. For instance, if you play Doom or Doom II (instead of the mod) you will notice the same clicking, which is pretty annoying.
Try setting the display to the maximum size. I found that this eliminates clicking.

Hey wow, you're totaly right, when I set mine to funn screen there's no clicks :)

Who would have thought of that?

Thanks for the info,
Clare

Ok. This is driving me insane!!

WHat IS that tune playing in levels 1 or 2 (or both .. I have alzheimer's)??

It sounds like either Twisted Sister or maybe old Metallica (Ride the Lightning ?)

Does anyone know?

Edit: I figured it out. It's the music on level 2; The Thing that Should Not Be <<--- from Master of Puppets. Whew, now I can rest.

BTW, great PWAD man!

Songs are from Metallica. ;)

And interpic one is from Terminator.

But I disable them to improve speed at 166 Mhz when I play! :D
