Hi
This has probably been asked an infinite amount of times, but is there anywhere i can downlaod the files needed to play the Scumm compatible games? Its just i cant find the Game anywhere, I have looked at Car boot sales, Bargain bins, and all over the net! I want to play D.o.t.t and Monkey Island Goddamnitt!! :eek:

i got a hard time remembering if i even bought any of these games (alright, i did, dott & monkey island 1&2), common, you can easily find all these games even just doing a simple google search ("day of the tentacles" download giving you plenty of sites where to get the game, passing the first result which is in curious gameparkeous-like language and a few forums, you got millions of sites giving theses games away)
except if you want it fair play and absolutely want to own the original copy of it, to give credit to the original artists, but, do they really get anything back from anything so old? the james brown royalties hasn't yet got to the gaming business ^^;

I'm not giving piracy a big thumbs-ups here, but please note that if you purchase the CD versions of the games, the chances are they will have speech - The .sou file is too big to fit on a memory card, so you will have to play the game without any sound (I think the music is also contained in the .sou file!)

If you just want music, you will HAVE to find the non-talk version of the game. I tried the speech/CD version of the game files with the non-talk sound file and found that the games don't work properly - It looks as if the game waits until the "speech" has finished before it puts up the next line of text.... No speech, no continuation of text - No continuation of game! You need the FULL non-talk version of the games.

Unless someone finds a way around it??? Just thought you'd all like to know!
