Bluetooth

holy crap
thats cool

maybe we'll be able to transfer files through bluetooth eventually

this is definently front page news worthy

excellent job :) does it require batteries?* what's the range? is data transfer faster than RF-link?

some interesting stuff on your site, btw... but im a bit confused about the digital I/O port thingy... is it playing the sample, or is it accepting an input and then triggering the GP32 to play the sample? if so, how does it differ from the serial interface?

definitely front-page stuff, this... and I reckon the GPS thing is too... ;)

*edit: forget the batteries question... that's what the power switch is for, I suppose...

Wow... that's more droolworthy than the GPS, I must say. Actually, it could well be more droolworthy than the charboard too.

Pity you can't have a chatboard and Bluetooth on at once, or there would very quickly be a very nice little niche for someone to get it working with Linux and Bluetooth public access points.

We would, at last, have web-browsing on the GP. What could be cooler?

As you can tell, I'm just a tad excited :)

It has a through port for the EXT connection and power switch.
Toyz 4 BoyzHere is a sneak peak!

i'm guessing there *is* a through port to put a chatboard in... at least that's the impression i got...

+ there already *is* web-browsing on the GP... check the linux threads :p

yes you can, gplinux have fully working usb host mode and drivers for some wifi stick, there is a msn messager, a irc prog, and some browsers, read the gplinux thred. you can download the gplinux wifi package at www.gp32linux.com

probably no software support yet (including GP32 Linux, which is USB-based) :p

...actually this GPbluetooth looks so sexy (and has batteries) that I wouldn't be surprised if it *did* get some sort of software support before long (i.e. within 3/4 months)

...it could be the new chatboard maybe (depending on the price)

I wouldnt mind having internet over bluetooth
then I could walk around the house, take a shit, and play with cats all with my gp32!
( incase anyone cared )
would be neat to see a graphical web browser work over the Bluetooth on the gp32 with chatboard, then I could be on couch and online

Awesome. Bluetooth is an extremely fine technology and I can't wait to see what people do with it. Already I can park my laptop atop the TV and use my cellphone as a joystick, a DVD remote, a keyboard and a mouse.

Online games would completely rock.. please let someone make games so we can play online against other players with the GP anywhere in the house, that would be really worth a go.. even if a client program was added to all the new emu's would allow us all to play online, great for us broadbanders.

I may find this hard to cover every point that was raised?

1. Please, do use your imagination. I feel it will be the only thing that stops this becoming THE upgrade for the GP32.
2. 2 Cool! Certainly is.
3. File transfer is a big YES it supports Data protocol.
4. No batteries required it is powered from the GP32. Range is 10m, and yes it is faster than the RF link. It will also be supported better than the RF Link which had no support from Gamepark. A library for GCC and ADS 1.2 using asynchronous UART access.
5. You can use a Chatboard and Bluetooth at the same time the through port on the side allows this.
6. …

We would really like to see support from application developers and anyone that can put a strong case for one will be first on the list. Including Linux.

Nice ^^
And why not a wifi connection in the futur ?
to control my Aibo ^^
