Greetings

Avigrace,

I am no technical person (to this degree anyway) . But Every Nintendo games use one mapper or another. With that been said, lets say Zelda uses Mapper 1. and Mario uses mapper 5... (I don't know exactly.. you can find some NES games lists on www.pocketnes.org that have which mappers they use)

My reason for asking was so I can get an idea as to how many games were going to be supported. (And even start making my games list :) )

rlyeh, Will this emu (or any of your other eagerly anticipated emu's offer long file name support?) Just wondering if I should start spending all my time cutting down the filenames to 8.3 or if I can leave them

Thank you,
~DWN

i will be doing a games list, with information on what mapper for each game, compatability, sound, etc...
just waiting for him to send me the newest beta. (its pointless to do one for the old beta.)

The main reason I think it didn't take off (at least for me) is because of the sheer number of games available for ST. If something isn't compatible, just try something else; and compatibility's good enough anyway that it probably will work regardless - so to find games you remember, you're better off just looking on LGD and assuming it'll run than seeing what's been reported as so doing.

Or at least that's my take on things; compatibility lists are great - I just don't use them much unless not much runs in the first place...

if a MAME emu ever comes out, I'm guessing a compatibility list for that might take off slightly more, but that is just a guess.

Still, you got 133 games reported. Not bad...however the new checksum/game name lists may make this redundant, as compatibility info might be stored with the game info so CaSTaway GP knows what games it can and can't play. You should talk to Skeezix about it.

New mappers & updated mappers today.

Current fNES32 mappers list:

iNES 249,251,252,255.

That counts 134 mappers if i'm right. Beta is incoming please wait.

It's going to support internal database CRC naming, so its useless 8.3 or long filename support. Although long file names in zip should work already

Greetings
