Hi all. I want to buy a 180MHz GP32 for Christmas. I'm new to the scene but I am very, very excited about it and can't wait to join the party! GBAX said they are the only ones who sell 180MHz ones so I e-mailed them about when they will be released and they said, "We will be putting the 180mhz ones on ebay, keep an eye on the site".

What's all this about? Does this mean they will be auctioning off the GP32s on ebay? And will they be second hand or brand new? Has anyone bought a 180MHz GP32?

Craig once said that BLU's are less likely to accept being modded to 180mhz than FLU's and I imagine that he can't keep up with demand. That would explain why he isn't accepting orders and is getting rid of them on ebay instead.

What do you recommend I do then? Bid for a 180MHz BLU on ebay or get a FLU? Will GBAX mod FLUs to 180MHz?

Only if you buy the FLU from them (I think, But I dont think they have any FLUS anyway). OR you could buy a USED FLU off Ebay and hope it OC's high (My Stock FLU that I got off Squidge hits 254MHZ :) ) Theres quite a good chance that a FLU on Ebay will go 166mhz Plus...

If it doesnt OC to 180mhz, you could send it into a mod shop.. I think theres one in the UK somewhere

They are going on ebay because we can't meet the demand, so if you want one just bid for it. Its the only fair way to handle it, if we had a waiting list the list would never be met due to people joining it faster than we can mod them.

It is true that the original GP32 can be clocked much higher.

When are you expecting the BLUs to go on ebay?

Regarding GP32s that overclock to 200+MHz, isn't that dangerous to run at such speeds?
