Anyone seen the replacement Xbox Cords yet? They're huge and Have their own circuit breaker XD. Microsoft seems to be overcomensating for their previous blunder. Again.
The Xbox Protection Cord disconnects power to the Xbox console when it detects
1. A problem with the electrical power supplied to the Xbox console
2. An electrical problem with the Xbox console...
...The Xbox Protection Cord provides electrical protection specifically designed for your Xbox console. Other electrical protection devices (such as circuit breakers, fuses, ground falt circuit interrupter (CFGI) outlets and surge protectors) do not provide the same protection. You may use these electrical protection devices with the Xbox Protection Cord, but ALWAYS USE THE XBOX PROTECTION CORD with your Xbox console to protect against console damage and fire.
But seriously, it's huge, and not just slightly different to the new American model, but COMPLETELY different.

heh, doesn't really engender a sense of trust and safety does it?

"Use our console it kicks ass...but make sure you use this special cord or it may set on fire and kill your children"

Yeah, I got my replacement cord last week. With it's own circuit breaker built in.... why haven't any other console manufacturers thought of this? Oh that's right, because they don't make big heavy things that require massive amounts of power 24/7 just so they can remember what the time is.

My bad, sorry. Or is that MS's bad?

EDIT: Actually, what gets me though is when I went onto the site and completed the replacement cord order, it said on there 'Until your new cord arrives, always disconnect your Xbox from power whenever you are not using it'. Well that's what I always do anyway, new cord or not.

y'know I always wondered why the xbox's clock wasn't battery powered.

I want to softmod my box but I'm a little worried about the clockloop.
