Hi'

Some bugfixes and new features :)

- fixed problems with the new gui
- ZIP-File parsing is faster now
- Savegame support!
- Added quicksave/quickload (stores one savegame in the memory of the GP32)
- Gamma correction added
- BLU+ support (?) copy the file "blu.txt" in the directory gpmm\handygp

Greetings'

http://www.pelle7.de/uml_index.php?open=emu

The sound isn't that well, but for some games it sounds quite nice, f.e. with Chip's Challenge

Still no BLU+!!!!! Arrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

"BLU+ support (?) copy the file "blu.txt" in the directory gpmm\handygp"?

Does it not work at all, even after doing that? Your "arrrrrrrgh" didn't really reveal much ;)

thanks again :)

thanks tuskenraider, thanks to you I have rediscovered my love for the game of shanghai!

....But it's taking up so much of my precious time :D

Wow, great work. I wasn't expecting it to be very fast but its running brilliantly. Thanks for your hard work so far.

Nope. There's not much to say about the grey bar, it either is, or isn't. BLU.txt helps not.

Nice work!! I never had a LYNX.

Now I do, and with much better battery life :D

I just tried it; this is quite nice! Is there an option for NO screen stretching? I'm assuming that would make it run even quicker.

Finding the lynxboot.img file was a lot harder than I expected! :p

P.S. What are all of those other files outside the GPMM directory for, such as cart.cpp, cart.h, GPLynx.fxe, etc?

I think there is an option to run it at 1:1, I think it is the first option in the screen setup in the options. The thing is is that the image will be tiny at less than 1/4 of the GP32 screen.

The stretching now is perfect at 2:1 each direction, no distortion.

... and 2:1 shouldn't slowdown the emu, as not much needs to be calculated at all.

a couple of issues:

When I start up the emulator it takes AGES to scan the romlist, then I go and save it when it has finished, but once I reboot it still takes a long time scanning the roms - is this right? I wouldn't complain only it can take up to 3-4 minutes, kinda like loading a C64 tape game!!

Also I have a PD version of Ghosts n Goblins, whenever I load this is won't allow you to enter the menu or escape out in any way - have to switch the GP32 off.

But apart from that, the frontend is beautiful especially the rom selector

Is that picture of you drinking a yard?

Yeah, kinda wierd about the scanning thing.

Yeah, the picture is odd. I would've preffered something Lynx-related personally, but whatever rocks your boat I suppose ;) (just for the record, I think it's a guy blowing into a really long horn).

I just tried Battlezone 2000 with it... great game, and it runs pretty well!

tuskenraider, would it be possible to add a "flip screen" option, as well as have an option to map the A&B buttons to L and Start? There are several games such as Gauntlet and Klax that use the Lynx's screen vertically, so this would make it much more comfortable to play them since as it is now I have to bring my right hand over to the top of the GP32 to control the d-stick.

Also, to make it quicker to load, maybe you could do what Reesy did with DrMD and only have it rescan the ROM directory if you tell it to; upon startup it could just use the rom settings that were saved onto the SMC last time. (granted, I'm likely speaking gibberish since I'm not a programmer; if so, please forgive me :p )

I've not tried this emulator yet but it's now at the top of my list.

I used to nick my mates kid brothers Lynx to play whenever I had the chance so it will be nice to bring back the old memories of thrashing his high scores. Well he was only about 9 at the time ;) hehe.

Thanks for what looks to be a very nice emulator Tuskenraider.

Hi'
thanx for the feedback :)
I managed to speedup the file loading, now the startup shouldn't be like on my old c64 with the tape drive :]
I think the BLU+ should really work now! There was a little stupid bug in my code *ups*

Thanks for your work tr2k but I downloaded it again from your website and the blu+ white bar is still there... if it's the fixed version than it's not working and if it isn't please give us the link... I just can't wait B)

tuskenraider2k- do you have any plans to impliment the other button not emulated (I believe it is the option 2 button)? This can be essential in some games

thanks for your hard work

EDIT: Wow, did'nt know that. Thanks 0-bake

option one is the left shoulder, option two the right shoulder button ;)
