This looks like such a nice utility and would come in handy if you need to find your way around some city.

Just wondering if anyone here has actually used it, and if it's worth having on your gp32. Also, any sites provide map downloads for this?

i think i saw somewhere on a site downloads of other maps, like ones of london etc etc

I used it a little, but not hugely - looks to be a *really* useful program, just not one I've needed yet; easier to carry a pocket map around :)

Iv been talking to tha author about this program and im in the mist of making some Australian maps first is the city of Melbourne transport rail system so trams and trains will be on there then im gonna do the other citys then the whole country

after that i will try making maps for specific states in australia :)

i have the melbourne maps done just trying to work out a naming code for the zones :p

Could you not make one of the london tube first instead? I think it would be beneficial to more people than australia.

I might make maps for chicago for whan I visit there in a few weeks. Don't know a good place to source the maps from though.

Omizzay im only doing the australian maps first cause i have the map images available to me stright away

if you could send me a map of the england tunnel or whatever it is then i'll see what i can do ok

but i should have the melb map done very shortly ;)

Ok i lie :p

I have made 2 maps

First is of the Melbourne rail system (just train and tram lines) in australia

and the second is the London Tube after Omizzay pointing out that there is more UK than aussies <_<

I have email these to the iMAPPY author who will put these up on his site :)

Now im bored  so are there any maps any1 else wants B) ?

If you're really bored you could do any of the following cities, as I go on trips there all the time :

- London (City)
- Dubai, UAE
- Houston, Texas
- Beirut, Lebanon
- Cairo, Egypt
- Brussels, Belgium

Thanks.

I looked for Cairo, Egypt but didnt find any maps that were good enough so i'll have to try that later but i have just sent RR4 some more maps  u can see im very bored :p

The maps are:
Melbourne, Australia (Train and tram lines)
Sydney, Australia (Train and Fairy lines)
New York, America (That blasted subway system B) )

i'll work on some more soon visit http://edhel.fr.st/ when he has uploaded them

Dubai, UAE is a must (as that's where i live ;))

Also, London city would be nice as well.

Thanks for your effort.

I'll try to do some more 2day but its very easy to make a map

all you have to do is get a good image then resize it to atleast 1000 x 1000 pixels or whatever the ratio is cant be over 1000 pixels in either height or width

then you just use the orignal image (the 1 over 1000 pixels) and cut it up into as many even squares as possible so if its like a square image cut it up into 4 even blocks of images then these images will be the zoomed images

that might sound confusing but it isnt the confusing part is working out the start X and Y axis and the end X and Y axis so a slim bored is put over the image in the software so when u go into this bored it loads up that bit of software

took me a whole week to work that out i did get help from RR4 the imappy author but i still didnt get it after a week of re reading his email i finally got it
