http://www.dubaicityguide.com/maps/map4/index.html

Hope thats good enough for you?

i'll go make some more :p

That's a great map. It would be good though if you had some zoomed up shots from maporama which show the road names etc.

Thanks a lot man.

Also, maybe it's a good idea to host the maps on crazeeplaya's site as the other one is unstable.

Hi there,
it's my first post on this board, so I might introduce myself: I'm RR4, iMappy's creator, and I wanted to meet the little community around iMappy that emerges here (thanx to NiN) :)

First of all, thank you NiN for your contributions to iMappy, your maps are well done, and your request idea (see other post) is brilliant :)
I just wish you could use all the possibilities that offers iMappy: you can have more than 3 levels of details, you also can have more than 4 parts to each maps.
Another thing you should do is to use maporama or other websites like maporama, they usually have a lot of cities, and you can use their integrated zoom engine to make much more detailed maps.

As a conclusion, making maps for iMappy is not difficult, and I'm sure anyone can do it, but if you have any question, feel free to ask me :)

Also, I benefit from this post to tell you that I've just done a map for Amsterdam:
Dam.gif

You can dl it here: edhel.fr.st

PS: NiN, I'm sorry but the last maps you sent me didn't work...
Did you manage to have them working on real hardware?

Hey RR4 - just wanted to say thanks for such an excellent program.

Do you think it would ever be possible to have a feature where you would be able to have a zoomed up map which you would be able to drag around?

Hi Omizzay :)
what do you mean by 'a zoomed up map which you would be able to drag around'?
I thought iMappy was already working like this...

Sorry, I meant without taking multiple zoomed up gifs also, but i realized it would be impossible. I like your amsterdam map by the way. Would be helpful if you could pin point the coffee shops though ;)

The last maps i made worked on the geepee32 emulator i dont have a real gp32 yet so i cant test them sorry :(

Yeah about the levels of detail i know i can do that and have more than 4 zones but the maps im making only need 4 zones and only 1 level of zoom

But when i start making REALLY big street maps i'll have more than 4 zones and more than the 3 level zooms ;)

i only used the 4 zones cause it was easier for smaller maps and using the north south east and west as the zones

but i have been experementing with zooms under the main zooms AKA 4 level zooms ;)

but most maps i get arnt big enough for a 4 zoom map but i havent done any big maps really im gonna do a HUGE map if my city including the outer suburbs so that should be good

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Damnit  my request post for the imappy maps is deleted AGAIN

I made one of Edinburgh, but I don't want to put it online because it's directly scanned from a street atlas...

Too bad taras, I wish I could add a new map to my website...
NiN, your request topic hasn't been deleted, it's now called 'Some rules for mapings maps on your request', I don't know why :)
Also, the last maps you sent me didn't work with geepee32, I'm going to try them soon with my gp32 and I'll tell you...
I am in a hurry to see your next maps :)

PS: Edinburgh is in great britain (correct me if I'm wrong :)), and maporama has a nice map of it...

Just a post to tell that a new map is available: Darmstadt (Germany)...
It is quite complete, it has 14 zones, and was made by Iomsn, you can check it in my website (http://edhel.fr.st)
